Works great, but falls apart

by seahealth , Jun 24 '03
Pros: Gives you a great cup of cappuccino or espresso
Cons: not the best design, falls apart, poor customer service
When it works, it is great, but read on and you will find out this is not always the perfect machine. I still have mine, but would consider another machine in the future. Not all of us are on this earth to make Starbuck's rich, which is why I ...

Great Machine for the Price (from a Former Starbucks Employee).

by bonnie9703 , Jul 28 '06
Pros: Makes quality espresso at a moderate price, simple design, easy to use.
Cons: Time consuming, must have some espresso knowledge, messy.
I love my Krups Novo. I worked at Starbucks for about 6 years and we used to sell this machine. In all the years I worked for Starbucks, this machine far exceeded the others we sold in terms of price, longetivity and quality of espresso. I think a ...

Krups Novo 2300

by lbo_guy , Dec 09 '02
Pros: Affordable, very effective
Cons: Froth spout is too low, not accomodating to taller cups, sometimes slow to heat up
I have been a cappuccino drinker for years, and finally decided to bring one into my house. I shopped around, and found that this machine was the best value for money. It has proved to be true so far!

The machine is very lightweight, has all...

Beware of Krups

by dlmarie , Jun 11 '03
Pros: "auto" frothing feature; easily cleaned; nice size; uncluttered design
Cons: Only worked for about 30 days then quit; no space for standard sized cups.
After enjoying Cappuccino for about 1 month this machine quit & at this writing is being repaired at a cost of $88.50! (And we all thought Starbucks was expensive!)What about the warranty you wonder? Read the tale of this 30 day wonder below...(email...

Not worth it

by coffaholic , Sep 24 '02
Pros: the auto milk steamer is inovative but hard to clean
Cons: didn't work well
I bought this and returned it as soon as I could. The pump was too weak to make a two shot espresso. The coffe only dripped slowly out of the brew head no matter how I ground the coffee. I called Krups and they said it was a defective machine and I...

My machine just doesn't work

by carlshepherd , Mar 09 '03
Pros: Nice design
Cons: Aluminum trays stain with coffee and the o ring seal doesn't work.
In short this machine has a major design flaw. The O ring seal where the cup-handle thing that hold the coffee meets the machine keeps getting out of place. turn on the machine and there's coffee everywhere. I ordered a new ring and tried to install it...

Great Machine
by consumer1976 ,Oct 31 '03
Pros: extremely convenient to be able to switch from coffee and steam with the selector knob
Cons: can't think of any
I owned a simple Krups espresso machine for years and finally decided to upgrade to a machine that had a water reservoir and an option to toggle from espresso to steam for frothing. It is extremely convenient to be able to switch from coffee and steam just be switching the selector knob. It also has a huge water reservoir. Also, I worked in a coffee shop in my college years, so I’m perfectly capable of making nice froth with the authentic Italian espresso makers with the single steam valve. So I was skeptical of the froth attachment. But after first trying out one that I bought for a friend, I loved it. It is so simple to make froth or heat milk. You just simply pour the milk in a cup, place the suction tube in it and then place your coffee cup under the froth extractor then turn it on. You can adjust how much froth to milk you want by adjusting an air valve while is running. Clean-up is also easy. I would highly recommend this machine!
