Pros: most pictures come out well, looks, easy to use, great for kids & beginners Cons: some pictures come out dark, not good for professionals

Pros: Easy to use, bright sharp LCD screen, very sharp pictures. Cons: Distorted near edges, slow flash charge, needs more buttons.
I decided to buy another digital camera. My 2 year old MX-1200 works great, but suddenly one digital camera in the house is not enough. (see my review of the MX-1200)

Basic Details
When I first opened the box to my fuji 2650, it was like love at first site. It came with its own rechargeable batteries, a usb cord, and the finepix viewer program for my computer. The camera was very easy to use to. When looking for...
Pros: Easy, especially for those who are not camera-savvy. Cons: Blurry, at times, a bit slow.
NOTE: This is coming from the eyes of someone completely unprofessional with cameras and who's career is not along the lines of photography. It's recreational photography. WHY With all the hip, new electronic devices coming out, lacking the ...

My wife and I decided to get a digital camera, after I got a $100 OFF certificate, from Amazon.com from a larger purchase.

If you're looking for a camera that will take you into the digital picture realm but not cost you an arm and a leg, this camera is a great choice. It's certainly not for professionals but it has enough features to keep the casual picture taker...
Pros: Good optical zoom, battery life and price. Proven commodity. Cons: Proprietary memory modules. Body could be sleeker. Weak Software.
I have owned this camera for about 3 months and have had great success with it. The picture quality is superb and it has just enough features for a person like me (who has a family and limited tinkering time).
Pros: Compact, great pictures, cheap Cons: Too much time between pictures, not enough buttons
This 2-megapixel camera has an abundance of features including an optical zoom (as well as a digital zoom, but that is somewhat of an irrelevant gimmick, more on that later), self-timer, movie recording and a sliding lens cover.
Pros: Cheap, optical zoom, decent resolution, good pictures Cons: xd card, poor web cam, no tv out, no mic, bulky
This is my second digital camera, I had a similar HP 2.1 megapix one before, but returned it because it didn't have an optical zoom. That was one of the main reasons i decided to keep this Fuji. The other one was the price and the resolution. 2.0 mp is ...

I bought this camera for my wife for Christmas 2003 and we have had a lot of fun with it. It's a great camera to take on vacation because it's lightweight, easy to use and you don't have to carry around a lot of film. The picture quality is great, the ...
Pros: Good value; fast; zoom; uses AA batteries instead of expensive camera batttery. Veiwfinder and screen. Cons: Veiwfinder is a little off, hard to look through, camera is a battery eater.
The Fujifilm FinePix 2650 is a very nice camera. This was my second digital camera (my first one got stolen), and before I bought it, I wanted to buy one that had a good value, and a small size without making it less powerful. I would definetly say...
Pros: Easy to use,Great pictures Cons: Battery life, but you can improve this if you buy a AC Adaptor for downloads.

I've been wanting to get a digital for some time, but felt that the compomise between film and pixels was just too great to make a useful digital camera for a reasonable price. Even though i've been holding out for a 4-5mp camera I took the plunge on...
Pros: High Resolution, compact, affordable Cons: Batteries don't last long, Time in between picture shots.
I have loved Fuji cameras since I bought my first Fuji digital camera. My last one had a little accident via one of my children and was out of warranty so I really wanted to upgrade instead of repairing. Fuji was my first choice of brands. I read...
Pros: XD speed, viewfinder zoom, mass storage abilities, durability, image quality Cons: XD cost and availability, bulkiness, photo taking delay
After owning this camera for about 3 years, I can honestly say it is one of the most durable small electronic devices I've ever used. I bought it at Best Buy on sale for $199 (with a free 16MB card) long ago so that I would be able to get pictures onto ...

Pros: Great picture quality, compact and weighs only around 250 grams, many functions, 16 mb Cons: Too dark LCD display, battery life, usual functions hasn't own buttons
Fujifilm has with their new camera, Finepix 2650, proved that it can be very easy to use digital cameras. This camera is perfect for first-time users who are looking for a user-friendly digital camera.
At $200 you can't get a better camera. In fact for under $300 I think this is the best deal. My sister has a 3 megapixel Kodak digital camera and I can't see any significant difference in the quality in prints up to 8x10 size.
Pros: Easy to use. Light. Uses only 2 AA batteries Cons: Have to have lens cap opened to view pictures on display mode.
I've upgraded my digital camera from an Olympus D360L to the Fuji Finepix 2650. Originally I wanted the 2600 model because it uses the Smart media memory card and my Olympus uses that too. That way I don't have to buy different memory card. However,...
Pros: Amazing features for the price and size, good warrantee repair service from Fuji Cons: Shape too thick, needed repair
This is my first digital camera, but I have decades of experience with film cameras, including plenty of darkroom work and even a bit of accessory engineering (I turned a monocular into a telephoto for my Rolleiflex in the early 1960s). When I saw my...
Pros: Price, quality, performance, compactness, great pictures, easy PC interface. Cons: Useful battery life, timer, view finder is off but no big deal, mem card location.

Pros: Inexpensive, digital and physical zoom Cons: Poor battery life, horrible software, bulky shape, truly annoying lens cover

Pros: zoom, picture quality Cons: flash and lighting, getting used to the menu
This is the first digital camera I ever purchased, I took a gamble and it was a good one. I really like the FUGI FINEPIX 2650 Digital Camera. I recommend this camera for these sorts of buyers: someone looking for a digital cameral that is not super fancy ...
Pros: Small size with an optical zoom Cons: Get some rechargeable batteries.
I got this camera on ebay for a steal. I only paid $125 for it, and I have to say it is one of the best purchase I have made to date. After using the camera, I would be willing to pay the $200 price that they usually go for on ebay.
Pros: Very affordable with high image quality and features. Cons: Quite bulky in width, horrible battery life.
The Fuji Finepix 2650 is a surefire bargain; assuming you can deal with the poor battery life and LCD quality. For around $200, this camera packs a great punch. With 2.0 Megapixel resolution and 3x Optical zoom, it is a great deal. If you are looking...
Pros: Easy Operation, Price, Looks, Great Shots Cons: Few, if any
I just bought the Fuji 2650 today as a Christmas gift for my wife. Only, I couldn't keep the box closed while at work. I just had to open and give a try. Just as expected, great operation and great pictures. I use a digital camera at work, so I had...
Pros: 3x Optical Zoom, Excellent Picture Quality, Awesome Battery Life. Cons: Not Many, A little slow between Pictures

Pros: Easy to Use, Price, Size, Zoom Lens Cons: Dark View Finder, Shutter Lag between Pictures, Limited Storage on Stock Card
OK, I finally have a digital Camera. This one is a great first digital camera, or a great snapshot camera etc. Easy to use and takes nice pictures for the price (remember this is not a $1000 SLR camera with expensive lens).
Pros: Durability and great results for the money output. Cons: Lens cover needs to catch at a specific location or it won't take a picture.
I found this camera on the clearance shelf at Wal-Mart for $99. Ive now had this camera for two years. I began keeping it with me all the time, and found my expensive Nikon started taking a back seat. I now reserve my 35mm Nikon for serious ...

Pros: Terrific camera for the price. Cons: Could improve on the software package. The camera case itself is light plastic.
I'm not a camera 'pro' so this is for common folk like me that simply know what they like when they see it and want some value for their money. I bought this for my ten year old as an intro to photography. Using rechargeable batteries, it should prove a...
Pros: Great picture quality, good flash, focusing perfect in NO light conditions, crisp pictures. Cons: Bulky, TINY lcd, bad manual controls, very slow, weird memory card, slow and loud zoom.
I got this camera for Christmas about three years ago, and it was a pretty good camera at the time. The image quality is surprisingly crisp for a 2 mega pixel camera; however, I find that it's very hard to take a picture without the flash as they turn ...

Pros: Great Quality
2.0 Mega Pixel
Low Cost
Optical Zoom Cons: Slight lag between pictures
Not much software

This camera is awesome! I have made full page printouts with it without losing much quality! The 3x Optical zoom enables you to get close up to objects without losing quality. At about $200, it is not very expensive. The lens cover can be annoying...
Pros: Good Quality Pictures. Easy to use. Price was great! Cons: None considering the price.
I've been reading every review I could find about this camera. I have to agree with the positive reviews I've read. Mention of the batteries only lasting for 3 pictures I read somewhere is totally not true, unless there was something wrong with the...
Pros: Small design, standard batteries, optical zoom, excellent color and detail. Cons: Slow shutter speed, bad low light conditions.

finally took the digital plunge on the fuji 2650. to this point, we've had many point & shoot 35mm cameras. the 2650 is easy to use right out of the box. have read about the battery thing so we invested right away in rechargeable AA batteries. the...
I really enjoyed using my FinePix 2650. Until the LCD monitor faded. Now I cannot see the menu. I cannot see the pictures. I adjusted the monitor brightness to no avail. The warranty is up.
The camera was gifted to me. My parents got a great deal on two, and my sister got the other one. Her camera had the same screen failure while it was still under warranty, and she was able to have hers fixed.
Pros: Great quality, more bang for your buck, expensive camera features Cons: Big and bulky. Eats batteries.
I've had this camera for almost 2 years now. I'm not going to bog down this review with technical specifications because there are enough posts on here for that.
However, I will share that this camera takes WONDERFUL pictures. I took some the other night, any my friend took the exact same pictures with her very expensive Sony one, and I must say that my Fuji pics came out crystal clear. Hers were a lot on the fuzzy side. They made me want to rub my eyes to make the picture clearer.
My intention is to sell this camera and get another one. I desire something smaller with more megapixels and updated technology. This particular camera is big and bulky...like a regular 35mm camera.
However, after using this camera all weekend, and falling back in love with it, I may just hold on to it if it doesn't sell from my classifieds ad.
If it does sell for the money I want, I'm probably going to end up buying another Fuji. The consistent quality and dependability is worth the repeat purchase.
Pros: Price, features, pix, ease of use. Cons: Memory with camera (buy a bigger memory card). Goes through batteries.
Great little camera. Easy to use. Great pix. Buy the bigger memory. Completely satisfied! Only drawback is that it goes through a lot of batteries -- but they are the cheap AA kind, so who cares.
Pros: Legacy of great digital photos, great battery life Cons: Clunky shape
It's a little late to review this long discontinued camera, but they are still available on eBay and as refurbished models at very low prices.
After owning a couple of Canon digital PowerShot cameras (which weren't very satisfactory and eventually ceased operating), this budget model was a pleasant discovery. Easy to use and consistently good picture quality, even though it was a 2 megapixel unit. Don't let those megapixel ratings confuse you; larger just means larger images but not better definition in conventional terms. If it can render an 8" X 10" photo with clarity and good color, it has adequate pixels. This little Fuji did that pretty well; better than the higher pixel Canons, but it had a faster lens. That is probably a deal broker.
The size was always an awkward aspect of this camera; too thick to be a pocket item. Almost a square box in reality. I lost it on public transpo because I couldn't carry it in my pocket, but I will replace it with another Fuji.
Pros: Good for the Odd picture here and there Cons: Worst Battery life.... What is good with a camera when its always DEAD! Fat
I had no problems other then it feels and takes pictures like a cheaper camera but for the batteries.. I had aboslutely no luck with.. they always die useing rechargables or even lithium batteries..it was more frustrating then anything
Not a bad camera, but it doesn't last by cd_reynolds ,Feb 18 '05
Pros: Great price-benefit ratio. Cons: Questionable durability - even over a short term like 12 months.
I purchased this camera because of its good price and features. After 12 months of light use, the original camera lost track of how to auto focus (the lens position sensor failed). Fuji was great and replaced it even though I was literally 2 weeks out of warrantee.
The bad news: the replacement camera is now 12 months old and it is starting to miss focus. This trend makes me very leery of buying another Fuji camera.
Great Inexpensive Digital Camera by sanepinay ,Oct 01 '03
Pros: easy to use and cheap.Pictures come out clear Cons: eats batteries like water
I have this camera.Actually I borrow it frequently from my sister to take pictures.I love this camera because:
1.Takes great pictures even if the light is really low
2.I didn't read the directions to use the camera but the menu is easy to understand
3.Holds a good amount of pictures
What I don't like about this camera is that:
1.battery dies out fast.Better have a fresh pack to bring with you
2.Get's scratched up easily on the outside.
3.Turns off after a couple of minutes.
Pros: Picture quality, ease of use, size, price. Cons: Battery life, flash warm-up time, "shutter" speed.
I bought this camera on EBAY brand new and it turned out to be a good purchase. The quality is very good (max 1600x1200). "Shutter" speed is not bad, but for the price acceptable. The software that came with it is crap, I use the webshots (www.webshots.com) software, it's free and a lot easier to use and I can make the pictures into backgrounds. Battery life isn't bad if you pick up an AC adapter for downloading pictures, otherwise it's not very good. I've printed off a couple of the pictures and they turned out pretty good.
But over all the camera is a good buy. You won't be disappointed. If you are looking for a good price you will probably find one since there are always new higher pixel cameras out there.
Pros: Great value, easy to use Cons: Picture quality could be better
My parents bought this for me for Christmas last year. It was easy for me to learn to use. It comes with software that is also pretty self-explanatory. The picture quality is pretty good. I've seen a lot better, but for a 2.0 it's good. There is an option to change the photo quality on the camera, too. I don't think this makes all that much of a difference.
I like the little video feature. The camera allows you to take 20 second videos. I do this and then make pictures from the video on my computer at home. Also, the self timer is really easy to figure out.
Since it takes AA batteries, they are used really fast. If you are going on a trip for a day I would bring a spare set of batteries. I've made the mistake of going somewhere all day and getting 10 pictures in because I didn't bring extra batteries.
Good inexpensive introduction to digital by alviesing ,Sep 19 '04
Pros: Automatic shutoff, durable, decent quality pictures Cons: Poor zoom, low memory on original card
The Finepix 2650 is an entry level camera in the Finepix line. I was given mine as Christmas gift, and have had little need to upgrade, The 2650 takes great pictures, especially if you adjust to the highest quality setting. The camera is durable, and easily compatible with mac and pc's. My only complaint is the lack of a decent zoom, which makes pictures at events tricky. The camera uses AA batteries (rather than a charger) which seem to last much longer than the charge in more expensive cameras.
I received this as a gift. Overall I've been happy with it. This is the camera for beginners. It it really easy to use for basic pictures. There are options for picture quality; better quality equals less pictures on memory card. There is also a neat video option with two settings for quality; no sound. I had trouble with the software it came with and ended up downloading directly to my computer. The flash and shutter speeds are incredibly slow. It has adequate zoom capacity. This thing chews through batteries and ought to just come with the power cord, but that's extra. I haven't had to get an extra memory card, but it's also an expensive option. It's durable and compact, so that's handy. The picture quality is quite sharp. It has a neat zoom/crop capacity while viewing pictures, although you can't save the edited picture. Generally it's a good deal for the money and ease of use, but not the camera for someone who is really into options or capturing the perfect moment.
The Best Digital Camera For The Money! by tweedersmom ,Jul 08 '04
Pros: Go for any Fuji!! They take the best pics!!! Cons: None
This digital camera is great!! It takes great pictures and you can't beat the price!! It's easy to use and just the right size!! I would invest in rechargeable batteries as it can really eat up the others!!
Dollar for dollar this camera... by brian_dt3001 ,Dec 05 '02
Dollar for dollar this camera is as good if not better than some of the more expensive cameras I've tried. It produces great photo's and I would recommend it to anyone that's looking for an affordable quality digital camera. Recommend the AC Adapter to save on battery life.
After i took 5,000 pics on my old digital, i was ready for a zoom lens...this one is great for the very low price of it.
got about 400 pics on batteries that came with the camera.
Other viewer said it didn't work with a HP Pavilion, hmmmm that's what i have runnig, and it works just fine.....love it.
If their software was compatible... by msmona_dt3000 ,Jan 02 '03
If their software was compatible with all computers this would be a nice digital camera for the price. Not too expensive. I wouldn't discourage someone for trying it, it may work for thim, but if you have a HP Pavilion computer...buyer beware.
This camera says it has... by lobau_dt3000 ,Nov 11 '02
This camera says it has a 1/2 - 1/1000 of a second shutter speed implying that it's manually adjustable. NOT SO. I tried to take photos of my son doing karate and HE was in focus BUT his hands and feet that were moving came out blurry. VERY unhappy that Fuji did not explicity state whether or not the shutter speed was manually or automatically adjustable. If you want clear ACTION PHOTOS, DON'T buy this camera. Now I have to pay a 15% restocking fee at BEST BUY to return this crummy camera. >:(
Great camera for beginner and... by dragon285_dt3000 ,Oct 16 '02
Great camera for beginner and novice users. Excellent picture quality with its 2.1 megapixels, and with the new XD card (16 megs), there is less battery consumption, and faster data transfer. This camera also has a movie mode feature, where I can actually take 20 seconds of video. There are other camera brands out there that doesnt have the features of the 2650 and yet are more expensive. For the price this camera has everything to offer in a photographic device, and the quality is excellent. GREAT BUY!!!
I considered this camera after... by icemanac_dt3000 ,Feb 08 '03
I considered this camera after a friend of mine purchased a 2600, he is a technological retard and mastered it quite well. For the price, right out of the box it takes very good pictures. Don't drop it, its quite fragile in that respct, however fuji replaced it with a brand new unit. My 4 1/2 year old son can even take fairly good pics with it... so it can't be all bad. Get rechargable batteries.
I just love my Camera!! I went on Vacation and am amazed at the quality of the pics; would recommend to my friends. I purchased the rechargeable batteries which are very cost effective - Best Buy; great prices!!!!
Very nice, very smart and... by teemoe2_dt3000 ,Jan 25 '03
Very nice, very smart and super neat digital camera. You can really play around with the features to maximize your picture quality. I very seldom have to edit my pics in an editor once I have downloaded them to my picture files. Fuji did a great job on a camera with affordability.

i shopped around for camera's for a long time and admitidly this camera was not my first choice but for the deal i got on it i decided to go for it. Like i said in the pro's and con's there are some thing's i'm not happy with but over all i'm pleased with this camera's performance. Suggestions: Fuji Finepix a303 - it's seems flawless for the price
Recieved this camera as a... by mikey_dt3013 ,Jan 10 '03
Recieved this camera as a Xmas gift. I had Never use a digital camera before and in a few minutes I had master this one. I can download to my computer, use it for video-conference or a PC cam with no problems. The Xd cards work great and store a lot of photos for thier size. I did buy an AC adapter, camera case, and rechargable batteries, so I spent additional $70.00 so I could do everything it is design to do. I'm am taking photos of other photos I have to upload on my computer and put on cds. I will use it to photography values i.e. jewelry and important documents including credit cards and misc. bill fold items. This camer is so much easier to use than my normal 35 SLR. I carry it everywhere with me because the compact size. Highly recommend.
Try this camera at night!... by rtbjr_dt3000 ,Jan 10 '03
Try this camera at night! I took pictures of my out door fireplace at full blaze and they came out great. The fine pix software makes viewing the pics all too easy. All in all a great camera for the money.
my six year old daughter can use without any help. Pictures taken from a moving car came out clear. Pictures are cristal clear. This is is a good camera for the price.
A terrible camera because the... by becka_dt3000 ,Jan 01 '03
A terrible camera because the colors are all choppy and non-realistic. The zoom doesn't autofocus because always says too low of light inside, even if i point it up to the sky. Based on the other reviews, i'm starting to think mine is just plain broken. i've been photographing my entire life so can't imagine that it's something i'm doing. a point and shooter, after all!
I have purchased two digital... by mrpungie_dt3000 ,Dec 04 '02
I have purchased two digital cameras prior to the fuji 2650, and neither camera takes pictures as clear or transfers the pictures to the computer as fast. I bought this camera because of the good basic features, 2.1mp 3x optical zoom and 2.5 digital zoom. When I purchased the camera there was an additional 64meg XD memory chip given with it, which was a great bonus considering I paid less than $190. I would recomend this camera to anyone looking for clear pictures good color depth at a great price.
I thought it was going to be difficult to figure out but it surprised me. I really like this Camera because it is easy to use and to have fun with. The software was also easy to use and play around with. I would recommend it to someone like myself that doesn't know much about camera's and wants good quality at a not so expensive price. The only thing I am disappointed about is that it has a charger plug in, but I can not find out what to use to charge it because it did not come with it.
This is an easy to use camera. Pictures made with flash light in dark settings are less qualitative. AC adaptors not available at any store. I had to order an AC adaptor from Fuji on line at a total delivered cost of $65!! I consider that a rip-off!
I am 12 years old and I just got this camera for my birthday, and it is by far one of the best presents I have ever gotten. It is so much fun , and so easy to use. I bought a 128 MB card , and it gave 400 Pictures!!!!! I highly reccomend this camera to any kid and any adult.
Price is right for this camera. Simple to use [once you read the manual] and lightweight. Must get 64mb x-D card if you want quality pictures and be able to store more than 20 at a time. The negatives are it goes through AA batteries very quickly [approx 50 pix] so factor in the cost of rechargeable batteries and the recharger, about another $50. Pictures are a bit blurred but that can be fixed by software [pick up a copy of a digital photo editing s/w for another $45]. I highly recommend it for the casual user.
Great Cam for the Beginner... by gregory_dt3000 ,Mar 25 '03
Great Cam for the Beginner or the Experienced user....way to Go Fuji! I have used this cam...in every setting you can think of. Very Happy with all the out comes.
I only had my camera for about 3 months and so far it has been GREAT! I am using it for my photography class and have taken excellent pics!! I have only use one set of batteries since I had the cam so the battery life for me is pretty good being that i use the LCD screen constantly! The one thing that bothered me was that the cam kept saying that the darn lens cover wasn't open when I opened it. I learned that I just had to pull back harder on the lens cover so that wouldn't appear. I also don't like the software b/c you can't correct pics, take away red eye, etc... in photos--nothing beats photoshop! :). Overall I would recommend this camera for anyone who just want a digital cam to take pics with that is easy to use for a cheap price. GREAT CAMERA!!
