Pros: Excellent photo quality, variable drop size, vibrant ink, borderless print, easy CD direct print Cons: Relatively big, typical ink jet shortcomings, costly replacement cartridges (small)
High Definition is virtually everywhere these days, even if it's not a TV. While more plausible than high definition glasses, Epson's new ink jet printer generation is taking it one step further claiming Ultra high definition. This is backed up by new ...
Pros: Six color, individual ink, high resolution Cons: Large footprint
Printer technologies have really come a long way in recent history. They're smaller and faster, come with many bells and whistles, in dozens of form factors. But let's face it - unless you're just going to print boarding passes and black-and-white ...
Pros: CD Printing, 6 ink cartridges to waste your money on, doorstop functionality Cons: Ink lifespan, color, cost of ink, durability
This printer makes an excellent doorstop. As far as printing goes, a doorstop might do a better job. The colors are whacked out on plain and photo paper. But when you try again without its color correcting it's a bit better. The ink is expensive ...
Pros: Cheap way to print on-disc. Cons: Can be a bit tricky, takes getting used to.
I have used this machine quite extensively, and for an inexpensive on disco CD printer, I have to say I am quite pleased. The mechanism is quite clunky (plastic insert tray), and the process isn't streamlined for mass duplication, but for the cost, i ...
Pros: It looks nice. Cons: Everything about this printer and Epson in general is lacking. Should be recalled.
I purchased two of this model, the first wouldn't recognize the factory cartridges. Two calls and 45 minutes later on my dime I might add, I am given a reference number and told a new unit will be sent out. 3 weeks later having heard nothing I call the ...
Pros: Good print quality. CD printer. Premium ink$. Tech/customer support on your dime. Cons: String of defective units (unreliable). Customer service unresponsive to fair customer/product satisfaction :-(
I bought an R260 (1/07)to replace an HP1215 (loved it) which died. Since I had a d-SLR, I thought the R260 would be useful. The inks produced very nice prints, but when they indicate low, you must replace them immediately or printer is useless. So you ...
Pros: Price.. and ease of use. Cons: Noisy, Defective, Cheap piece of junk.
I looked around for great deals on printers, and unfortunately.. ran across this Epson Printer. It was greatly discounted at a Staples nearby. Thinking that I got an amazing deal, i was extremely ecstatic. Setting up the printer was a breeze on the ...
Pros: Makes great prints and for the price it a good value. Cons: The toner inks are expensive.
The Epson 260 Epson does a great job with their printers so I figured when I needed to replace my Epson 2200, I would spend less money, but stick with a great brand and purchase the 260. The design of the Epson 260 is similar to the 2200. ...
Pros: Price....but still not low enough. Cons: This printer is noisy; Ink is very expensive and it runs out quickly.
I bought this printer 3 months ago but I am going to have to buy a new printer. This printer is noisy and the printing is low quality after a few months. The ink is very expensive and it runs out quickly. I have to change one of the 6 cartridges every 10 days.
Don't bother wasting your money, and ESPECIALLY your TIME! by henryblee ,Feb 02 '09
Pros: It works great the first time ONLY! Cons: It's a piece of unreliable junk. See the above comments.
My second Epson color printer for printing CD/DVD labels, this one is equally a piece of junk as the first. Don't waste your money on the ink carts - The generic ones work as well, for a third or less of the price. The problem is that (no matter what ink you use) you will have to prime the carts, which spews ink all over the interior, which then smears all over your document or CD/DVD face. You have to wipe up mounds of ink which the machine has "primed" and or course wasted. I would say I have to do this 99.9999% of the time, even if I use it every other day. Doing something that should be a relative easy task (making some prints) should be much simpler. You'll be sitting there watching the piece of junk "cycle and cycle," as it waste your time and patience.
Pros: None Cons: Uses ink so fast as to be worthless.
We bought this printer at Christmas 2008. By New Years one of the ink cartridges was empty. We bought more ink cartridges but they don't last very long at all. You will be lucky to print 30 pages before needing another cartridge.
Basically, we quit using the printer because of the problems with ink. I think that it "primes" itself so much that most of the ink is wasted.
Pros: Prints nice photos Cons: Expensive ink cartridges, sucks up ink quickly
Crappy Printer, and is quite Expensive when it comes down to it ( with all the ink you have to buy) You also cant refill the ink because they have a computer chip in each cartridge that wont allow it to be used again... As of now its not working, and has the red flashing lights that wont stop. ( as another reviewer mentioned) We have been dissapointed since day 1 of buying this junky thing and are looking for another printer to replace it. Another thing is, if one cartridge runs out of ink you have to replace all of them again~
A positive- sure it prints nice photos but it would be WAY cheaper to send them to Costco to print for you~
worse product you could ever buy by zhemyah ,Jan 31 '09
Pros: none Cons: you will wish you never heard the name epson
this printer will make your hair fall out if you try to print directly on cd. the epson people are rude and do not know their product when you call them. they either will not, or can not help you with this issue. find another manufacturer that makes a printer that will do the job. it was a true ripoff
