Pros: Clean, organized, nice staff, great food Cons: can be expensive, room service fees
I started traveling to New York City a couple times a month with my son as part of an autism research study at Mt. Sinai. We had previously gone up to NY (about a 3 hr. drive) each year at Christmas but usually stayed outside of the city. When we ...
Pros: location, location, location Cons: price but then again its New York
I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Times Square from May 1st to May 3rd. I was looking for a quick weekend getaway that could provide a more upscale feel as my intention was to propose to my, now fiancé. (Sorry I guess I gave it away didn't I?). I ...
Pros: Centrally located, parking on-site Cons: Noise, not much in the way of amenities, not much to remember it by
I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Manhattan this past weekend for three nights. I already have my favorite place to stay in Manhattan, Th

Pros: View, Location, Service, Comfy and Clean rooms and beds. Cons: Restaurant isn't my fave but it's not bad either.
Staying at the Crowne Plaza places you in the heart of New York City. No need to look any further for another hotel, this is it! Beautiful views, immaculately clean, warm service. Stayed in a Sleep Advantage Suite and the extra money was totally worth ...
Checked in to first room, which was dirty, didn't smell clean either. Window was filthy, broken and even had tape all around the top of it. The glass table tops had a TON of dirt & crumbs underneath. Called and was changed to an upper floor that had been...
Great Location - Staff needs work by radees ,Oct 28 '08
Pros: Great location - right on Times Square. Parking available on the premises. Room service menu is sufficient. Cons: Price - I paid nearly $600/night with taxes. Staff attentiveness was poor Room was dirty/dingy.
On my last stay at the CP - Times Square, the reception clerk did not acknowledge my presence for a good 3 minutes. Then when he finally looked up, he told me that he wasn't open for check ins and I had to stand in line behind 4 other guests. When I got to the front of the line, the room I had reserved was not ready and they did not offer any alternatives.
When I did get to the room, it was not very clean and smelled musty. Even though the room had just be remodeled, it still felt like an old hotel - cracks in the bathroom wall, windows did not open/close properly, etc.
Clean, GYM, Good Value, Location by tomewilson ,Oct 30 '03
Pros: Clean, good location, great gym, reasonably price Cons: Nothing that I've ever found
I lived in NY for 5 years and have been traveling there for 21 years. I like the Times Square Crowne Plaza -- its clean, well maintained, they have a great gym (FREE) and its conveniently located in midtown. I pay about $299 (+ tax) for the club floor on the 46th floor (top floor). The price for the room can vary significantly and the club floor is $50 more per night, but I like the quiet (top floor) and the complimentary service.
Excellent location-theater district by chipcollector ,Jan 17 '04
Pros: Location, location, location. Price was reasonable Cons: Really can't think of any
Stayed four days at this centrally-located modern hotel in Manhattan. I would definitely stay here again if we plans included theatre. You couldn't ask for a more central location. I stayed on the 40th floor which is billed as a SUPERIOR floor. I had asked for the 46th floor (CLUB LEVEL) but was told it was SOLD OUT. Although the furnishings aren't brand new, they were in very good repair. The is no real lobby to this hotel, so if you are into lobbies, go to the PLAZA or the WALDORF. Hotel is clean and well-maintained. Elevators work properly. Conceierge was helpful and offered hard to get theater tickets at prices within reason. One night the concierge actually had discount discounts to the not very good NY KNICKS. Anyway, don't overlook the concierge. I usually avoid them but the concierge here was helpful. Room service was prompt and like everything else in NY, expensive. I meant to look at the health club and the indoor pool but didn't get a chance. I am told it is a freebie if you join PRIORITY CLUB (frequent stay program).
