Pros: Location, location, location.  Concierge.  Free internet.  Helpful staff.  Free coffee in lobby.  Location. 
Cons: Bed was somewhat stiff - not bad though.

Pros: Very Clean, well maintained, nice outdoor pool, plenty of parking,staff extremely friendly
Cons: Far from shopping, amenities not explained, food not authentic Southern cooking

We drove down from New York June 2004 to a scorching heat wave. On our arrival, we waited outside to be met by someone to take in our luggage -which never happened. I parked the car and lugging 2 small children, managed to drag in suitcases, stroller etc. After loading our luggage on a cart, a guy popped out and suddenly brought the bags to our room. Now I had to tip a guy when I felt we did all the work already on our own.
The hotel itself is very nice-clean and well maintained. Big rocking chairs and fans on the front porch gave it a nice Southern feel. I think there was some free beverages or snacks in the lobby but no one explained the policy to us or told us to help ourselves. The staff was extremely friendly but you had to ask if you wanted something.

Pros: More than standard Holiday Inn property due to location and great staff
Cons: Perhaps a new coat of paint in some rooms

Just returned from seven day trip with friends. Concierge, Kevin McQuade, planned entire trip for us. He arranged tour guides, recommended restaurants, and seemed genuinely interested in our satisfaction. The rest of the staff were just as amenable, greeting us upon our return, going out of their way to try and assist this group of senior citizens. We had a large room, and since it was January did not use the pool, but it looked lovely. Several members used the gym and found it quite satisfactory.
