Good if used w/other products, but dead skin trapped inside bottle a big problem

by materialwhirl , May 30 '09
Pros: Overall this product works well in combination with other products.
Cons: Dead skin tends to get caught inside the glass bottle; need to switch up products.
I have found that if I use this product regularly the effects start to wear off over time, but if I alternate between this and regular benzoil peroxide it seems my skin doesn't get used to the products and overall both are more effective.  I ...

Everyone's skin is different...this is the only thing that works for me.

by camaleonte , Apr 06 '08
Pros: Doesn't dry your skin out, dries quickly, works!
Cons: Goes quickly for the price, numbs if it gets on your lips, rollball tracks debris.
My skin is generally clear, but my chin is ALWAYS broken out. I've tried dozens of cleansers, masks, and creams over the last few years, and nothing has worked. I was skeptical of the Burt's Bees blemish stick, but figured I'd give it a go. I haven't ...

Somewhat helpful

by snuffondigital , Jan 24 '08
Pros: Smells good, herbal, portable, twist cap for safe keeping.
Cons: doesn't work, not a stick so it's runny.
I'm a fan of Burt's Bees. I've always enjoyed and picked up their products, so when I saw a display for an herbal blemish stick to fight acne, I had to get it. It came in a small, portable tube with a twist on lid so it was great for carrying around in a ...

A natural way to clear up problem acne

by grayjessie , Aug 29 '07
Pros: soothing, clears up small pimples fast, reduces redness
Cons: pricey, doesn't work well on large pimples, strong scent
I've had acne ever since 4th. grade. Basically, my Mom told me she had bad acne, so I'd have bad acne. Over the years, I tried several different products to get rid of acne: perscription medicines, toners, masks, creams, face wash, spot-on treatments, ...

No Telescope Needed To See These Constellations

by dimeuhday , May 14 '07
Pros: None
Cons: Expensive, smells, caused more breakouts
He’s 30. I’m ‘almost 25.’ At this age you would think people stop getting pimples and zits, but my boyfriend and me, we’re one of them unlucky ones with high school complexions. Not a wrinkle to be seen, but a zit, is always present, ...

Despite the intense scent, this stick can work wonders

by jennfrank , Jan 26 '04
Pros: effectively does what it claims to do: zap zits
Cons: horrifying smell, hard to "aim," not really a stick, pricey
Backstory My skin, a nightmare. My face had worsened since I'd begun using a popular, harsh, expensive skincare system. Painful cysts were under my skin, and worst of all, my zits were chapped and peeling. Finally, I shoved the skincare ...

Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick - why do I still have blemishes

by azielinski Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Sep 06 '02
Pros: Natural product
Cons: Delivery system is messy, doesn't work that well
I don’t know what this summer was like for you but where I live it was hot and humid with some pretty poor air quality and a lot of dust (and other stuff) blowing around. Weather like that is guaranteed to take my normal/dry, small pored skin and make a...

Blemish CAUSER!

by ladyburtsbees , Apr 05 '02
Pros: Easy to apply
Cons: Burns, can be irritating
So, I usually have clear, pretty okay skin. I like natural care products, and decided, "Hey, why not have a blemish stick to help my few pimples?" So I strolled across this, and I picked it up for 6.99.

I opened the cap, and shook it to...

Mother Nature's answer to imperfect skin

by marnica , Feb 13 '02
Pros: 99.90% natural, effective and moderately priced
Cons: depends on how sensitive your skin is but may cause some drying
Around Christmas time I ordered a hairdryer from drugstore.com and received a free sample of Burts Bees products. Foot crème, lotion, bath oil, masks etc…The Blemish Stick was not among these products but these samples really impressed me and...

All around, a good product.

by billsgirl , May 01 '01
Pros: All natural, effective product.
Cons: Hard to apply, strong smell
A coworker of mine had several bottles of the Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick she had received at a trade show. I have used products containing tea-tree oil before, so I was psyched to try it.

The first thing I noticed is that it is kind of...

Great for an Obsessive-Compulsive Addict

by amaster , Jan 26 '01
Pros: the smell
Cons: kind of stopped working after a few weeks; the glass bottle it comes in
I did not really need the Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish stick because I have a myriad of acne products already in my cabinet. However, I loved Burt's Bees Avocado Hair Mask, as well as their chapstick, so I decided to give the Blemish stick a shot. The...

Burt's Bees stays busy workin' on that zit!

by ragdoll21 , Dec 24 '00
Pros: soothes acne, stimulating fragrance
Cons: n/a
Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick is a nifty product that naturally works toward clearing up acne. Its strong eucalyptus-like scent and ease of use--just glide it over the spot with the roll-on applicator are just some of its pluses. A whiff of its...

Natural, but Not for Everyone

by lucypiggie , Nov 21 '00
Pros: pleasant smell, mostly natural, some effective ingredients
Cons: some of the ingredients should be avoided by pregnant women and those with sensitive skin
I first bought Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick to spot attack any zits that are bound to ruin my day. I bought it at Goldenseal, and because I had good experiences with other Burt's Bees products, I thought I would give this a try.

The...

Zap Those Zits With Burt's Bee's!

by elzora elzora is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Wellness & Beauty, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Nov 15 '00
Pros: It works, it's all natural, it's small and compact.
Cons: The Tea Tree Oil it contains can be drying to the skin.
Natural vs. Synthetic
When I have the choice, I would rather use an all natural product instead of one that is filled with petrochemicals and synthetic ingredients. I know that some natural products aren't healthy ... (Poison Ivy is natural,...
