The Bowflex Ultimate XTLU has all the bells and whistles. It is a total body workout. Bowflex quality and a variety of exercises makes this a good, if expensive, solution to those love handles. ------------------------------

Bowflex ...
Pros: Works as advertised, quiet, strong power rods, good rowing. Cons: Difficult to read numbers on power rods, too firm bench.
I have had the Bowflex Ultimate for about 4 months now and I really like the machine. The pros outweigh the cons with the unit, and I think it was a worthwhile purchase. Here is my story … I had been considering a Bowflex unit for about 3 years. It ...
Pros: Excellent toning or muscle building workout. Safe, easy on joints, excellent burn, durable. Cons: Price/size-other Bowflex models overlap on many features, read up the Bowflex site.
First, I want to bring up the overall effectiveness of the Bowflexes, from the Ultimate to the Elite to the Sport. I mention this because some of the reviewers are regulars on this site (I am not) and are quite negative. It's possible they work for ...
Pros: Smooth resistance that replicates freeweights
High quality build
folds up nicely Cons: lacks the visceral feel of freeweights
Serious powerlifters need not apply
As a physician, I'm interested in staying healthy but I've found that tougher and tougher to do as my practice has grown. I was once an avid freeweight lifter and loved the feel of pushing and pulling iron around the gym. I still think freeweights are ...
Pros: Everything, I love this machine Cons: If I find one I will write another review
I have had my Bowflex for about 5 weeks now and I must say that I could not be happier with my purchase. I had always been intrigued when I watched the infomercials on TV, but I was skeptical about how well the machine would really perform. I have a very ...
Pros: Effective and good for it's money. Cons: Can jam fingers and doesn't work abs very good.
On a rating of the home gyms out there, this is probably one of the best for it's price. It can work about any muscle that you need worked. My family used it as a laundry hanger for awhile, but once we all started using it, we used it too much for any ...
Pros: Strength and quality of construction materials. Power rods work better than expected. Love it. Cons: Price is expensive. Nothing else, but I have only used for 24 hours.
I have been researching a home gyms for several months. I have always considered Bowflex to be a poor alternative to weights noting that they are only sold in "infomercials" and hard to try out before you buy. I'm 42 years old and 6'7" and 265. I have ...
Pros: Comes with everything you need, provides excellent resistance. Cons: Transition time is long, MUCH bigger than they appear, expensive if bought new.
I looked through the pros and cons for this product after having mine for six months and decided to write a review. I bought mine used, and I think that Bowflex completely overcharges for these machines. I had wanted one for probably a decade but ...
Pros: Builds muscle
Burns fat
Great home gym
Expensive but worth it. Cons: Tough to "fold up"
Rods may weaken (but can be replaced)
I got my bowflex, like many, after reading the reviews, watching the infomercial and finding the gym a pain to get to and from. Started my masters degree last year and found after 9 months of sitting down and exercising my mind, my body was fat. I ...
Pros: Good workout, Capable of many variations or forms of exercise, Space saver. Cons: None
I have had my Bowflex for a little over 2 months now. I bought it used on Ebay for only $421. It was a local auction so I did not even have to pay shipping. It is 3 yrs old and in excellent shape. So for those complaining about price...look around. ...
Pros: Train on own. Fair results. Many exercises. Cons: Expensive! Weight is not true.
I purchased this model about 2 years ago. I find it to be an excellent machine. Although some of the exercises are weak, the fact that you can train heavy with no spotter is, to me, one of this machines best features. Of course there are similar ...
Pros: Quiet easy to use equiptment. Cons: lacks the same high intensity of working with weights
Bowflex delivers everything it says it will. But only if you are willing to apply their training program. I personally have found it terrific to have in the house because of the lack of heavy weights dropping on the ground i can now train even when the kids are asleep
The Bowflex Ultimate XTLU is great by jz0086 ,Feb 06 '04
Pros: Small, easy to use, effective Cons: None
The Bowflex Ultimate XTLU is a great machine and will give you the total body work out you need easy. Ya its priced high over other models but its got the features you want to make your work out fly by, and in a year or two it will pay for it's self in gas (not driving to the gym) and gym membership. I dont think there is anything wrong with this product. It does exactly what it says it does and I like it better than conventional weights because its safer and i can work more of my muscles.
