More bang for your buck

by basilisk4 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Feb 21 '01
Pros: Clear, rich sound; Decent amount of bass; Not too expensive
Cons: May not be as good as systems costing twice as much, but duh
Despite being somewhat compact, the power boasted by the Boston Acoustics BA635 speaker set is impressive. To ravage an already terribly overused cliche, these nice speakers serve as proof that, at the very least, size doesn't always matter....

I can hear clearly now

by SurgRN911 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jun 06 '00
Pros: Inexpensive, great quality
Cons: none
Amazing what a good set of speakers and a miracle ear can do <smile>
Actually these speakers are ideal. They are not to big to fit neatly on your work area, thus leaving more space for the important things like milk and cookies.

Pros: Good quality of digital sound, space saving, powerful, hi-tech and well priced.

An affordable PC speaker system that really THUMPS.

by triple_irons , Jun 14 '05
Pros: Deep rich and full bass, crystal clear satellites, compact/inexpensive system delivers BIG on all fronts
Cons: I can't use my headphones, no hole for my headphones.
I enjoy my music to the extreme, and after going through three systems, I finally found what I was looking for, the Boston Acoustic 635. I'm a little lazy and this system has made my entertainment system speakers obsolete for cd's, as I'm more or less ...

I have Stereo !!

by chantilly20 , Mar 22 '01
Pros: Great Sound.
Cons: None
To start, the speakers I bought are not the BA635,but Digital BA735. There was no mention of this one so I took it to be an upgrade of the BA635. If not, they need to add it. They look just like what's in the picture.

The Amazing Andy Does It Again With Another Great BA!!

by sam-pro Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Apr 21 '03
Pros: Spectacular performance from such a small system! Really low Price!
Cons: The RCA connections must be cleaned and tightened periodically.
Andy Kotsatos {formerly Andy Petite...no he does not throw a 100 mph fastball but does make great speakers!} is the founding father of one of New England's few remaining high fidelity speaker manufacturers. The co. is Boston Acoustics or more commonly ...

So you can hear your music from a mile away...

by 311Bud , Aug 31 '00
Pros: size, power, annoyance factor :)
Cons: complexity (for a little while)
This review completes my series of digital music reviews. It started with how to get music off the web (napster, napigator, mp3 tips), and went on to how to play your music (RealJukebox 2.0). Now, I complete the trifecta with the perfect computer audio...

Best Speakers for travel or Nursery!

by navmaster , Jan 30 '02
Pros: Very rich sound, light weight, easy hookup, better than Bose!
Cons: Not a lot to complain about...
I purchased these speakers when they were first introduced and I am now on my third pair. Why would I buy another set or two? Because someone else liked them so much that they bought the first pair from me for $200.00!

I am a Merchant Marine...

highly portable 3-pc speakers

by leshalles , May 21 '02
Pros: light, small 3-pc system with good sound
Cons: no shield, no balance, fuzzy bass
These speakers have pretty decent sound for being so small- 21/2" satellite drivers and a 4 1/2" bass driver; weight about 5 pounds total.

For small or portable multimedia speakers, they are as good as I've found. Anything smaller has very...

Little speakers, big sound!

by ericgreene , Sep 27 '00
Pros: Booming bass, visually attractive
Cons: None, if you are using them for music
A couple years ago our family bought a Gateway computer. The day it arrived was an exciting one for us... having used only a 486 processor, this was a big step up in computing for us. My father had gone all out... the computer was loaded, but when I saw...

Good Things Come In Small Packages

by napsterfan , Dec 19 '00
Pros: Small and powerful
Cons: I don't think there are any
If I were to describe these Boston Acoustic BA635 speakers in one word, I would have to say: loud. I'd use that word because that's all that comes to mind as I sit here with the volume almost to the max, pumping out Metallica tunes so loud that...

An excellent set of speakers

by geoff2 , Feb 12 '01
Pros: Small; excellent sound; inexpensive
Cons: None significant
For some time I'd wanted speakers for my computer so I could listen to MP3s and the like. In addition, I like to listen to the broadcasts of games of my favorite sports teams on the internet, and my computer's built-in speakers just weren't loud enough...

near audiophile quality - gamers look elsewhere

by beanbear , Dec 04 '00
Pros: value, near audiophile sound, build quality
Cons: none for the price
Synopsis:

The 635's are terrific, near audiophile-quality speakers. They are a terrific value for those looking at a small-scale stereo via a computer and less so for gamers (the sound is too smooth and fluid for bang-'em ups).

Cons: High Volume Becomes Fuzzy Occasionally, Sometimes Speakers Don't Work At Startup
After purchasing my Gateway G6-350, it was just about time for some decent speakers. So I purchased these along with my system. I have heard very good things about Boston Acoustic, and I have already heard and seen their surround sound speakers for both...
