Bosch Evolution 500 SHE45M02UC 24 in. Built-in Dishwasher

Pros: Delayed start, Quiet, Sanitizing option, Stainless interior
Cons: Difficult to load, Doesn't Clean Thoroughly, Silverware baskets cumbersome to load, Small capacity

If I had a choice between using this dishwasher or manually washing and drying the dishes, I would rather wash and dry them myself. At least I can guarantee them to be clean and dry. We also purchased this dishwasher based on the CR recommendations ...

Pros: Powerful washing, still very quiet.  Options for different wash cycles. Silverware tray goes anywhere.
Cons: Annoying light showing empty rinse agent - I don't careNormal wash cycle is long.  

I installed this dishwasher about 3 months ago to replace a bottom end kenmore.  This machine does a great job washing everything with NO pre-rinsing.  It is also quiet enough that we can start it and unless you're in the kitchen you don't hear it.  A nice change from a dishwasher that was so lound the neighbors complained about it.

Pros: quiet, well-made, easy-to-use, looks-good, washes-well, dries-good, adjustable-shelf
Cons: interior space

We replaced our 15 year old dishwasher with this one. We were really excited at first to see the new design that eliminated the sprayer/agitator that took up the entire middle of our old dishwasher. We were surprised when we struggled to fit our regular amount of dishes in the new Bosch. We discovered that the racks of this dishwasher are a bit shorter than our previous unit. It took us a while to figure out how to load it.
We run it at night and empty it the next day (about 12 hours later). Typically only the plastics are still a little wet. It cleans good. We can't say how much we love it's quietness. We would buy it again.

Pros: Well made, nice features, very quiet
Cons: doesn't clean, doesn't dry, leaves spots

I've read the manual 3 times and followed the directions exactly. I cannot get the dishes clean unless I thoroughly rinse first. I have to dry most dishes by hand afterwards. I cannot figure out how to prevent glasses and silverware from getting water spots. I am going to try to return this dishwasher. I chose Bosch because I am a woodworker and their tools are very good. Too bad that didn't carry over to this appliance.
