Pros: heals dry, chapped, itchy skin and burns and cuts Cons: too sticky, too expensive
I've always used Vaseline for my dry skin in the winter, but it disappeared from my skin too quickly and sometimes I found that I had to apply a lot of it or apply it more frequently in order to quickly re-hydrate my skin. I found out about Aquaphor from ...

My dermatologist recommended that I use Aquaphor for my dry, flaky skin. The Product Aquaphor Original Ointment from Eucerin is packaged in a 14 ounce (396 gram) tub with a blue screw off lid. The 14 ounce tub sells for about $16, which ...

Pros: Relieves severe skin issues such as diaper rash and cracked skin Cons: Very heavy and greasy, does not absorb easily, petroleum smell

Aquaphor has many uses!
by branandnessasm ,Feb 21 '07
Pros: quality product, great price, many uses Cons: creamy and greasy, prefer a "squeeze" bottle than a tub.
This product is wonderful. I've used it on my daughter's ezcema (dry skin patches), dry, chapped lips, scars, and dry hands and feet. This product feels like Vaseline but much thicker. You get much better results. I love that it's clear like Vaseline. It is much better and although pricier, a worthy investment. I purchased a tub and it's lasted forever! We use it on cuts and scrapes too. When I have dry elbows and knees I reach for this product. Sometimes, I've used it for my dry, achy feet. I liberally apply it to my feet and put on a pair of socks.
Why spend a ton of money on "Pedicure Creams"??? This works great and is much cheaper.
Also great as a diaper creme. It doesn't have an unpleasant color or odor like Balmex.
One product replaces Neosporin, Balmex, Vaselin, body lotion, hand lotion, and many "scar reduction" creams.

The "real" miracle cream
by jbhtripp ,May 23 '05
Pros: Fast acting, no fragrance Cons: Very heavy petroleum feel
I originally purchased a small tube of Aquaphor after a friend told me to try it for my son's diaper rash. this stuff is absolutely amazing! It cleared up a very stubborn diaper rash overnight and hasn't quit amazing me. My little guy is well out of diapers now but we still continue to but Aquaphor. We use it on cuts and scrapes, skin blemishes and as a heavy-duty moisturizer. It seems there isn't anything Aquaphor can't take care of.
