Nice looking, but WAY overrated!

Pros: good looks, comfortable seats, gas mileage, Cons: no acceleration, loose steering, average handling
If you don't mind a car that has no pickup (4 cyl) and loose steering, then you'll love the 2007 Camry. "Lexus-Like" exterior, great gas mileage and a comfortable interior make this a good, but not great pick. I highly recommend the 2008 Honda Accord. Looks great and drives like a dream.

Disappointed in the lack of features

Pros: Fun to drive. Bluetooth phone is handy. Cons: Toyota cut a lot of corners on this one.
First of all, the engine comes on more than I think it should- there is too much lack of control over this. Engine comes on a bit rough. Also, it is annoying that the NAV system always shuts off when the car is moving- it's as if the whole thing was designed by a team that was more worried about possible liability than usefulness to the customer.
Also, it's insane for any car built today to not have user memory settings- what a waste of time to adjust the seat and mirrors every time someone else uses the car.
I would to see it have a more substantial battery and electrical package, and more basic features as mentioned above.
My wife and have contests to see who can get the best mileage and who can drive the furthest with the ICE kicking in.

Love my 2007 Camry

Pros: Sporty appearance, Reliable, Fun, and Classy. Cons: Current Price... Sporty look; non-sporty feel
My wife and I wanted a sedan to accompany our current Dodge minivan. Well, our first dealer stops were Car max and Toyota Certified. We looked at the 06 Matrix and 06 Camry initially. To make a long story short, I was drawn instantly to the Camry due to previous experience. The best part about the 06 Camry was the dealer offers (cash back and low financing). As I prepared to purchase the vehicle, I recalled from the Washington Car Show, the 07 Camry was coming out soon and decide to hold off from buying anything. Well, I'm glad I did! The 07 Camry came out 4 days later. So excited, I went to the local dealer and found myself truly amazed. The car didn't have the traditional Camry appearance; nor did the interior. Well...2 days later I bought the car and have been enjoying it ever since.

forget it if you are tall!

Pros: It does save gas. Cons: You will spend the savings on your lower back and leg cramp doctor.
My husband is six foot four inches and after two weeks of commuting in his 2007 Toyota Camry, he is off to see an orthopedist. I who am only five foot six found the same problem in the passenger seat.
The depth, front to back, of the front seats is too short and as a result there is very little support for underneath your legs. In our family's case it has resulted in severe leg pain and cramping which can be dangerous.
No cure seems possible and we sort of feel stuck.
Others have commented on the cheap materials used inside the car and I have to agree. those fuzzy auto interior surfaces - including the seats - are obviously made of a very plastic based fabric and should make seating very hot and sticky for those in warmer climates.
For thirty grand this car needs a great deal of interior redesign before it ought to be considered for purchase by people who drive long distances and who find themselves taller than my five foot six. Maybe the Japanese need to borrow Americans when they work on seat design.

A step down

Pros: Comfy ride, good seats, instruments, spacious, good design outside. Cons: Transmission and gas mileage - less than 20 in city, 26-27 on highway.
This LE model is my fourth Camry, replaced the 1999 4 cyl. XLE, and it is a tangible notch down in many respects. With roomier interior Toyota somehow managed to make front seats narrower. Overall, interior is good, especially the dashboard, though the "welcome to camry" greeting every time you sit is really stupid. Visibility is average, but better than in most comparable models. Nothing wrong with the stereo, good mp3 capability, including music in folders; outside temperature, tire pressure indicator. Comfortable, somewhat floating and quiet ride (to me, it's a plus). Release levers for the rear seat are inconveniently located in the trunk. Front seats are significantly higher above the ground than before, much easier to sit if you have disability. Transmission is the major mechanical failure. It is so-o-o much worse than in all my previous Camrys (1988, 89, 99), it seems it can't figure out which gear to use, not to mention disastrous new design of the switch. Step on gas lightly - and the engine goes to 5000 rpm before doing anything else. No wonder the gas mileage is terrible, the worst of all Camrys I had.

Improved Styling?????????????????

Pros: Camry reliability Cons: Styling, road noise, smoothness of ride
I currently own a 2005 SE that I bought in late 2005. I debated about waiting for the 07 but really liked the 05. Well, about a month ago I was rear ended and needed a rental for a few days. My body shop was able to hook me up with a 2007 LE. I have to say I'm glad that I bought the 05. Aside from the looks being much more suitable to my taste (I really don't like the look of the 07) my 05 is far quieter and far more comfortable and drives much more smoothly. This was a rental with only about 3000 miles and it couldn't compare to my 05 with 33K. I was so relieved to know that I wasn't missing out on anything. I've owned 4 Camrys (90, 95, 99, 05) and the 05 is not only my favorite Camry it's my favorite car ever.

Good Car Vanilla performance

Pros: Style, Comfort, Ride Cons: Acceleration, Transmission, wind noise, stereo
The new camry has a nice ride but lacks sporty performance. The transmission is slow to respond with the acceleration. Obviously this is a problem because of so many people complaining. I should have waited for the 07 Nissan Altima. I have an 03 Altima and it is fun to drive. Overall Camry is a good car that lacks sporty performance

2007 Camry CE, I can't wait to get rid of it

Pros: reliable Cons: boring, poor handling/suspension, shoddy non-mechanical manufacturing
First off, I don't write reviews..but here I am. I have been thinking about trading this car in since I bought it. I knew this type of car was an appliance but I expected more. I didn't think my car would bottom out every time I hit a bump, or feel the thunk of my wheels every time I entered the driveway. I didn't think the handling would feel like my old 1966 Dodge Dart from high school. I didn't think the seats would kill my back after a half hour drive. Don't forget watching the passenger seat vibrate/shake quite noticeably while I drive. (the dealer said it was normal..I guess it's a feature..) I expected not to have loose fitting interior materials and huge gaps. Other than that it runs and gets about 26 miles per gallon on the highway with my foot in it. It is an appliance. Its just a low end Sears special and not a Maytag. I think after bashing American cars for the past 20 years, I'm going back to support the U.S. economy, besides I've been outsourced myself a couple of times, but that's another story.

HORRIBLE GAS MILEAGE!!!!!

Pros: Looks nice and rides nice. More head room and leg room than the 06. Cons: GAS MILEAGE IS HORRIBLE!!!
I bought a 2007 Camry in 2006 and traded my Ford explorer due to the fact that my explorer was only getting 19 to 20 miles to the gallon and wanted a car that would get much better gas mileage. After a year of driving the camry that now has 14000 miles on it the mileage in town is 19 or 20 and the best mileage we have gotten on the highway is 23. Very, Very sad and we have friends that own the same vehicle and have the same problem. Toyota has said that the sticker EPA is way off and they are now reviewing that. I really feel like I was mislead when I purchased this car. Otherwise the car looks wonderful and rides well.

Disappointing from Toyota.

Pros: Hugs the road. Looks nice. Cons: POOR QUALITY>
Totota quality has gone downhill fast and far across the board. My fiance owns the Camry, I own the Tacoma. Both purchased new. Both have numerous problems with poor quality. Terrible. And the effect of this is that the service area is swamped. Taking the toyota in for repairs is a royal pain because these places are not used to so many vehicles being brought in for repairs. Makes service lousy. So you get a lousy car and lousy service. Not interested in Toyotas. I owned a 1980, 1990, and a 2006 Toyota as I was a diehard Toyota fan. She had an older Camry and now a new 2006 camry as she too was a toyota fan. Yech! no more.

Riddled with Problems!

Pros: Styling Cons: Very poor fit and finish, problems with drive by wire system. RUST!!
I have had my 2007 Camry for nine months, and driven approximately 14,000 miles. During that time I have had the following problems with the car:
Accelerator lag due to drive by wire system. When accelerating from a full stop there was a 3-4 second lag before the accelerator would engage. Was told it was a software problem, was fixed on second visit to the dealer.
The transmission shift knob in the center console was deformed, causing a constant rattle and squeak. This problem required three visits to the dealer and significant replacement of parts to repair.
There are constant squeaks and rattles throughout the entire dash board. Dealer claims they are unable to locate them. Very poor design and construction of the entire dashboard.
The area around the gas cap is not completely painted (cost saving measure?). As a result, a small area of rust appeared when the car was seven months old.
Save yourself the grief that owning this car will bring you, and look elsewhere. I personally will never buy another Toyota product again.
Oh what a feeling!

2007 camry look out for problems inside the car.

Pros: Great driving car Cons: The inside of the car has problems on the design.
I have bought a NEW CAMRY 2007. There has been little problems with the car. The car drives and rides great. Look for for a few problem inside the car. If you are riding in the car alone. Watch out for the front passenger seat. The seat will move like a fan. As you drive down the road seat will viberate and get on your last nerve. Also look to make sure the seat is on the correct place. The seats are to close that if you have leater it rudes and makes noise. I have called TOYOTA and have got no help in this matter.
Do not have the Dealer add the leather.

Pros: Stylish good looks, Generous rear passenger room. Cons: Transmission failure, Engine knocking, Starter noise
The transmission on my 2007 Camry started having major RPM flare at 13,000 miles. Toyota replaced my transmission without good service and without much of an explanation. I am now on my second transmission and this one is showing signs of the same problems. Many folks are reporting transmission issues on the V6, wait a year or so until they are worked out or go elsewhere.

Mine was built in March 2006 as well and my trans failed at 351 miles. The last four digits of my VIN are 0489, I hope yours is nothing close to that...if so good luck! I will not be buying another Toyota any time soon.
