Pros: Smooth transmission, Powerful engine, Good looks Cons: Gas mileage, audio system, Price steep with options. The Bottom Line: A great alternative to a conventional SUV.
When Nissan introduced the Murano, it was one of the better midsize SUVs on the market. Nissan gave the Murano a stylish design and some of the best all-around performance in its class. That said, it was my first pick when I needed a rental for my ...

Pros: Great 1-2 child family car.
Great deal $$ compared to similar vehicles.
Cons: -minor things could be improved The Bottom Line: Good buy! Compared to several SUVs including the Highlander (no way!), VolvoX90 (a tank), and the LexusRX350/RX400h (nice but pricey). Murano has nearly same features as Lexus but better price.
The MODEL I have: SL, 2WD/FWD, Touring package (leather, intelligent key, heated seats, sunroof, adjustable pedals, roof rails) ...purchased new from dealer. (In my opinion, unless you do lots of off-roading or have severe weater, any AWD ...

Pros: Great room and lots of interior comfort! Cons: Needs higher mpg's and better audio system. Paint exterior stinks! The Bottom Line: Great car with many good qualities.
The 2006 Murano is a roomy and comfortable car that combines the quiet and easy ride and responsive handling of a car. The cargo space appear as that of a wagon, and the 18" wheels provide the high driving position of a SUV. This ...

Pros: Great performance, safe, eye-catching look Cons: cargo space not so big; limited towing The Bottom Line: Definitely a must-see if you're looking for a cross-over SUV
Ok the car is for my wife. But hey, the man in the family has to have some say, right? We actually looked at Murano 2 years ago when we were out shopping for a cross-over. Cross-overs just suit our needs: plenty of internal space, no serious ...

Pros: roomy seats, powerful engine, many options Cons: premium gas, limited rear view, high price The Bottom Line: Nissan Murano SL is a mid-size SUV in its own class. It is powerful, roomy and sporty.
Nissan's eye catching Murano was my first choice for a family car. I wanted a sleek look in a mid-size vehicle, not the boxy look of a SUV. I also wanted great performance backed by the Nissan brand. I chose the 2006 Murano SL for just under $40k. ...

Pros: Engine power, "car like" ride, decent mileage, list of standard options, reliability. Cons: Front seats, no sport suspension option, Nissan's decision to use Bose stereos. The Bottom Line: With it's stylish looks and versatility, I think the Murano will please.
I bought a 2006 Murano SL 4x4 for my wife's 30th. First impression is that the price was a bit steep, but once I compared it to other similar SUV's, mainly the CX-7, I found the Nissan to be a good value because of the standard (SL) options. Starting ...

Pros: handles well, AWD, good styling Cons: not very useful interior space, bad mileage The Bottom Line: not a bad vehicle by any means, but even Nissan itself makes better alternatives.
Driving Experience: This is a solid vehicle to drive. The weight of the vehicle, and the uncommonly heavy steering make it at times feel like you're driving a tank, but a strangely sporty, fun to drive tank. It handles well, particularly for an SUV / ...

Pros: Safetly, Gas Mileage, many features, Audio System Cons: No Bluetooth capability, No ipod plug in. The Bottom Line: This is a solid car with many of the modern safety features and gizmos.
I've had this car for about a year now with 12K miles on it and have no regrets of buying it. My requirement when I was searching for a new vehicle was safely, cargo room, gas mileage and features. Well the Murano is packed with them! As for ...

Pros: Safety, comfort, speed, luxurious, roomy Cons: Gas mileage not what I expected. Bad blind spot drivers side.Difficult drink holder Brakes squeak The Bottom Line: Buy it. I am SO happy with this car I would recommend it to anyone.
I was hesitant about buying a new vehicle. The last NEW car was a wee bit shy of being a lemon and twice burned shame on me. This car was so different in so many ways. I am SO very happy that we made this investment. We purchased the vehicle as gas ...

Pros: Best crossover - Bye Bye giant gas guzzeling Trucks Cons: Can't take off roads - it will get dirty :) The Bottom Line: Best cross over SUV. Better and cheaper than BMW, Infinity and Accura models.
Love it, love it, and love it. I purchased SL AWD with touring pkg and drove 1000 miles in first two weeks at 25 MPG - premium gas. Absolutely the best car I have driven so far. X3 suck because of gas mileage, FX rear wheel drive is extremely ...

Pros: Styling, safety, CVT, rear seating options, Cons: floor mats are cheaply made, console compartments could be bigger, poor layout for cellphone chargers
I was compairing the Murano with the Honda Pilot. They were neck and neck in a lot of catagories. But what won me over was actually driving the Murano. You can tell this is a car chassis. And well, the Pilot drove like a van to me. Also the Pilot weighed a lot more than the Murano and you could tell when it came to acceleration, because the both have roughly the same horsepower/torque rating. Also the Murano have fold down seat release handles by the rear door...no more walking around to let seats down! And did I mention the Murano rear seats recline? The Pilot does seat 8, but take a look at that last row of seats and tell me how comfortable they look. Besides...if I need to seat 8...I'm not gonna be looking at a Honda!! So if you are concidering between the Pilot and the Murano....just test drive them back to back.

Pros: Interior Looks. Very comfortable. CVT Transmission is very nice. Intelligent key has us spoiled. Cons: Small front cup holder. Large blind spot by the C-Pillar.
Our new Nissan Murano has been great so far. The Murano will surprise anyone with all the room it has inside. We did plenty of research before going with the Murano but we are very happy we went that direction. Gas mileage has not been up to par so far but we have been driving everywhere to show off.

Murano S Mistake

Pros: Stylish, CVT, roomy, backseats recline Cons: noisy, handling on uneven surfaces switch from D to Ds to help braking.Nissan’s bad attitude
I had a Pathfinder for 3 years but wanted a new style, got a Murano S ( Mistake but due to a pushy salesman telling me that the car had a six CD changer like my other car but lets move on) the car was back in the shop the second day for 2 weeks (check engine light came on ) The dealership (Santa Monica Nissan) and the Nissan consumer affair bureau are a real joke, giving me the run around, not caring at all that one just bought a new car that is already in the service department. Back and forth we dont know, talk to the dealership and the dealership talks to Nissan.

Pros: Roomy, powerful, smooth, 22mpg combined. Good sound system, agile handling, excellent braking. Price. Cons: Brakes noisy when backing. Gas cap cover crooked. Some interior noise from road sound.
We bought this car as a compromise between a high end crossover and a US produced vehicle. It is a nice car so far with around 6000 miles on it. We have taken road trips and my wife uses it for a commuter car.
