Pros: A rare and worthy motor bike that is fully fun but everything but typical Cons: A bit rough in the rough
Ive found a new love. Shes classy yet sporty. Shes got curves in all the right places. Shes ready to go out for a night on the town while shes equally ready to take you into work when youre running late. I want to take her ...
Pros: Efficient, powerful (2-up and highway), handles like a dream, onboard storage, CHEAP, full guages Cons: No reserve fuel setting, Maintenance a NIGHTMARE
First, I'm reviewing a 2006 model year Burgman 400 by Suzuki, also known as model AN400. But 2003 - 2006 are all the same motorcycle/scooter. Be aware that the 2007 model is totally different . . . larger/different engine, larger frame, larger wheels, ...
Pros: Very well built, Unbeatable fuel economy, Lots of on board storage, Simple controls, Powerful Cons: Kinda pricey
A quick note - this review is for a 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400 (AN400K7) model and not a 2005. Epinions, as of the time of this review, doesn't offer the 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400 model as an option. I purchased my 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400 in Spring of ...
Pros: Comfort, economy, handling, storage. Cons: My cheek muscles have this perpetual "Burgman Smile".
I've only had the 2007 Burgman 400 for three months, but have 4600+ miles on it already, so I'm pretty familiar with it. In 2007, Suzuki totally redesigned the scooter (only the colors seemed to have changed for the 2008, so this review should apply ...
Pros: Storage/MPG/Smooth/Well-Made Cons: 12V socket is cramped/Speedo reads slower than actual
I started scootering with a Jonway YY250T Chinese scoot just to see if two-wheeling would be a good fit and to eventually get a motorcycle. Once my wife took a ride on the Jonway, she told me to get something else cause she was keeping the ...
Pros: Beautiful, Powerful, great storage, great mileage, Fun, fun, fun. Cons: Seat is good for only an hour before my butt hurts. locking gas cap.
I have had this bike for six months now and have put on 3,600 miles. I started out with a Vespa ET4 150 for two years to get to work on and fell in love with it. I started a scooter group, the Central NJ Scooter Group, and had a great time but I found ...
Pros: Fun to ride. Great in town. Storage. Reliable. Very highway drivable. Cons: Can use a bit of oil at high speeds. Seat needs more padding.
I have a 2005 and yes, the maintenance can be a bit tedious. My first valve adjustment took me about four (4) hours and the other ones have taken me about two and a half (2.5). You learn shortcuts, etc. after doing one. Also, I have ...
Pros: love the looks of the harley riders when i go by at 85..lol Cons: tires only last 6-8000 miles
Bought my 2005 burgman 400 used in 2007 only had 200 miles on it, traded a helix and 3000 for it (alowed me 1500 for the helix) 4500 total in 18 months i now have 21,000 miles on her. I am on my 4th set of tires, i replaced the drive belt at 14,000 and i just recently replaced the clutch and variator rollers. other than normal wear and replace items its been perfect! cost at suzuki is nuts so do most of the work myself from a repair manual and save big bucks. im 280 lbs and manage to get 60-65 mpg out of it. i have had it up to 94 mph and still had a little twist to go. i added a set of hard bags and a few other things but its a great bike, fast, good looking, and if you do your own service cheap to ride and own, seat was a little tough after an hour or two of rideing but bought a sheepskin butt pad and that solved the padding issue. added a drink holder and mp3 player and handlebar speakers, put the amp in the glove box and away i go music and rideing........
I can't believe more people don't get it. by n9915t ,Mar 29 '07
Pros: Easy and fun. Cons: Scheduled maintainence is supposed to be a little pricey.
I just got a 2004 Burgman 400. I love it! It is so much easier to ride than a normal motorcycle. It's plenty quick and maneuverable, plus extremely practical with the large trunk. If more people tried a maxi-scooter, the roads would be full of them, just like overseas. It has great acceleration and is plenty fast. I laugh at those guys on their Harley cows.
2005 Suzuki Burgman Type S by jyanzuk2nd ,Dec 21 '06
Pros: Very well built. Solid acceleration. Conversation starter. Good MPG. Cons: Conversation starter. Be prepared to answer TONS of questions. High price
This vehicle redefines "Scootering". No more praying when passing...twist the throttle and watch the traffic fall behind. Oh yeah, stick two full faced helmets in the underseat storage when you stop at the bistro or local mall. Bring a loaded wallet, though..
600 mile checkup 2006 Suzuki 400 ANS by wireedmguy ,Oct 23 '08
Pros: A joy to ride, Suzuki got everything right except the maintenance part. Cons: A sinkhole for maintenance dollars.
2006 400 ANS, 600 mile check at dealer $340. + $40 parts + tax This is atrocious. Almost a buck a mile for maintenance. I bought this machine to save on gas!
Pros: mpg greatest thing 60plus mpg and comfort rides smooth and can keep Cons: none as of yet except wish it had an bigger tank for less fill ups
