We recently rented a nice car from Enterprise so we didn't think twice about going to them again when our car was in for insurance work. Well we should have thought again because we got a piece of junk. It was a little Mitsubishi Mirage that had trouble doing 60 for more than a few minutes.
We called and they said that was all they had and there wasn't anything they could do as long as there wasn't anything actually wrong with the car and if anything did happen to it mechanically we needed to pay for it and then we would be reinbursed for the repairs.
After much speculation we decided that it would be a good idea to go ahead and go on our trip to Pennsylvania (from Ohio) as planned. We got in the car and literally about 10 miles down the road things started happening. The engine was missing and so we pulled over and we had plenty of gas. My husband shook his head and showed me the temperature gauge.
We took it to the shop and got it fixed and finished our trip. However when we took the car back to enterprise they said that our "claim" would be paid within the next 90 days.
90 days, what kind of company pays out for repairs in 90 days...needless to say..its been 30 days and we still haven't gotten our money back.
As long as you get a decent car from Enterprise you should be alright but check it out before you leave the store. The repairs aren't worth the hassle.
