First of all I live in Tennessee, and about an hour away from the Aquarium. Last year we thought it would be a nice pre-birthday present for our four year old daughter. It wasn't really a poor decision, but it was one I will never do again.
Let me explain. From an educational and adventurous standpoint it was nice, but the crowds were terrible.
We had to stand in line for tickets for around an hour and then when we finally got into the facility we had to stand at the exhibits for up to five minutes at a time, and the exhibits that we wished to look at longer we were pushed on through.
It was actually worse than shopping at Wal-Mart. The people were very rude, which I am not accustomed to in Tennessee. I was actually pushed and shoved without even so much as an "excuse me" or "I'm sorry".
It is a shame that they do not have a better system of walkways through the exhibits.
I was also disappointed that there were not a whole lot of very large fish. They are working on an Aquarium in Gatlinburg that is supposed to have sharks and other large fish, this one I am looking forward to visiting soon.
Once was enough for my family in Chattanooga!!
Good luck if you decide to go.
