Thanks for your kind comments. My experience with Louisiana is really more about French LA and New Orleans than with the Florida Parishes and Northwest LA. As for a personal anecdote, I was questioned by the police in St. Francisville for parking and taking pictures of a backlit bald cypress draped with Spanish Moss...I couldn't figure out how to incorporate that in the review. Some trips you get a story, and some you don't.

The history, the information, the only thing missing is a personal anectdote but it's hard when you live there. I have the same problem with my travel reviews. Great read.

and the details on St. Fracisville. When we were in Baton Rouge for Christmas, we went up to St. Francisville to visit friends for the evening. We even had dinner at the Magnolia Cafe!
