WOW! Small world, isn't it!!! I was at Mammoth Cave in 1985 and got to talking to this super-cool ranger named Marshall Mitchell (Hey! Anyone reading this remember Marshall!?! He's the ranger who would ask where you were from and then spout off trivia about your place! A real one-of-a-kind person!). In the course of the conversation, I found out that he'd gotten his Masters in History from there in 1974! he taught in the Clark Pleasant School Corporation until 1980 then started applying to become a park ranger instead.

Ainsley Jo:
You review was wonderful. I really enjoy reading your epinion. Believe it or not, I used to work in the Alumni Office at the University of Indianapolis and I always enjoyed the letter you sent to us every year. It's always great to find a fellow alumna!

They were extremely excited to get a hard-copy of my review and told me that this would help them out a lot! I hope so! They deserve to have people knowing about them!

Great Review (Reply to this comment)

Thanks for the informative review. I wish I lived closer to this restaurant, it sounds wonderful!!! I also liked the prices, they don't seem to be too spendy for a nice meal. I also like the thing about kids being able to eat for free, I've never heard of a place doing that before :o) Thanks again, for a very informative review, I'm sure you have made Michaelangelo's very proud!!

I've looked at yours--and I love what I see so far! But Julie was probably at least SOMEWHAT right when this one was concerned, because, when I printed a hard-copy to present to Michaelangelo's, it took six pages to do it! (Page six, of course, just contained the last part of the last paragraph--but STILL!).
BTW--there are NO tomatoes in the Wisconsin cheese soup. Mary Dyer had told me that my first trip over there--but I somehow forgot!
If you tasted that soup, you'd understand why.
The item posing as a tomato was a red pepper!
That suddenly occurred to me. Ashley was gushing on about the article and thanking me when I told her, "But I'm afraid I made a little mistake and said that there were tomatoes used in the WC soup. I was TOLD that it was red pepper but I forgot!" She confirmed that it was indeed red pepper instead of tomatoes, so I promised her that I'd let everybody know a.s.a.p.

Sorry it ran on so long! This is my first review of one of my local favs that I was excited about putting on the map! I guess I overdid it a little. But another factor in the length of this piece was that every single one of my taste buds was fantasizing about their next trip back to Michaelangelo's and was singing a very long song while I was writing this review. Which song? Remember the one that came out during disco days by Donna Summer: LOVE TO LOVE YOU BABY! And funny that you should mention CLOSE TO YOU by the Carpenters, because, when I was remembering the taste of that Tira Misu just a minute ago, those little buds broke into a harmonic, mellow chorus of the end of that song, "Waaaaaaah wah wah wah wah Close to you. . ."

Wish this place was close to me. ( I feel like breaking into the Carpenter's song) Sounds delicioous. I r'd it because I felt there was more than I wanted to know in this review. It was very amusing except for that. Julie

I'm really glad you liked this review! I love those breadsticks, too--TOO MUCH!!! On my last visit, I was brought some right from the oven!!! This was because it was a lull time during the day, and I guess they had to cook some just for me, as I was their only customer at that time.
BTW, something weird is going on. My account shows NO VISITS to this review, even though ratings--as well as your comment--shows that this place has INDEED been visited SEVERAL times.
IN fact, my account shows no new hits ANYWHERE! Like, I'm talking about for the last several HOURS!
And I'm not receiving requested e-mail about new reviews and comments from various people (including you) on my list.
I would really like to know what's going on!
Between Sunday dinner, Vacation Bible School, and everything else going on, I intend to find out.
I have my computer booted and ready even when I'm not here, so it's easy to check.
Any info would be helpful. That's my e-mail addy showing in my profile, so please send an e-mail to me if you find the time!
Thanks! :o)

Not Too Bad! (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
Not to bad if I should say so myself! The reason I'm talking to myself is because something's broken over here. I've been given several HRs, but none of the visits have been recorded. I want to see if this one will be, because I want to make sure this is being shown to everyone--including non-members.
