Thanks for a great review.
I gather you married 6 or 6 1/2 years ago, so perhaps you've investigated a return to Kauai with a child in tow? If so, did you find any non-hotel and non-resort accommodations that were child-friendly?
When we married we could only afford to get to the next state (Georgia); now that we have some money, we also have a teen-ager on our hands, so we regretfully have to abandon the quest for romance and settle for economical family survival. Our ideal would be a small 2 BR apartment/condo/townhouse that's rented out by the day. Whether breakfast is a nice meal, a roll in the refrigerator, or nothing at all has to take second place to the sleeping arrangements. Any suggestions from anyone would be most welcome.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Just reading this brought back so many wonderful memories of our visit to Kauai (God, I love that place). In my minds eye I can picture it now.
