a little nervous when I hear a place is a cruise ship stop. Looks like too many folk just want "home from home" when they step ashore.
Wandering the back streets sounds like a slightly better option. Great write up, Phil.

I agree about Nassau..The last cruise we took we didn't even bother to go ashore..:)

Globalization has made another victim. There is still some low-key charm left in much of the Caribbean, but we'd better enjoy it now, before it's gone.
Hemingway would not be happy at this sight....
