IHOP - the food to die for - the service to kill for

Pros: The foods is soooo tasty

The Bottom Line: I would have to go with maybe, if you can suffer through the service, the food may be worth it

What do ILOVE about the IHOP? The food, the food, the food! I love the food at IHOP. I love their chicken fajita omelet and I ordered almost every single time I am at the IHOP (you mean there are other menu options?) It tastes like a burrito (or a fajita) in an omelet. And you can get a side of pancakes as well! So, there is plenty of food. The food is always tasty!
What do IHATE about the IHOP – is I have never had a good experience with any of the people working inside an IHOP in my state. From the waitresses to the cooks, to the inept hostess/cashier, I have never ran across friendly, knowledgeable IHOP Personnel. What I have witnessed and experienced is a fight in the kitchen between the cooks and the waitstaff about orders taking too long and a yelling match about how long it took and how long food sat in the restaurant, overhearing a waitress telling an elderly couple how she needed big tips as she had cancer, inept and rude cashiers who could not figure out to run the cash register and how that was MY problem, not being acknowledged when entering the restaurant on an off-peak time, as well as my order is missing the sour cream from it 95% off the time and when I ask them for it – I am told it doesn’t come with sour cream even though I point it out that it states it in the menu.
The IHOP near my house is horrible and I haven’t been back in awhile and if I do go back, I will seek out one that is NOT near my house as obviously they don’t act like customers are that important to them.
Recommendation: It is hard for me not to recommend a place where I love the food, and it is hard for me to recommend a place that has had possibly the worst service I have ever seen.
