A Mongolian Feast (Reply to this comment)
by schaefer1
BD's Mongolian Barbecue sounds like it is definitely for those who like to experiement with a variety of tasteful, but spicy foods. Maybe I'll give it a try since there is a locale in MD.
Thanks for the information.

we don't have this chain in AZ, but there was a similar thing near the community college I attended briefly, and I went there with some guy friends of mine a couple times. thing was, it's not all you can eat... you pay by the bowl (and by the size of the bowl). and since everything shrinks down so much when it cooks, you have to fill that bowl up good. my friends became experts, buying the smallest bowl and cramming it full of three times the normal amount people would put in it. ah, memories. ;)

That's a shame but maybe a similar place will open closer to you. Thanks for the comment,

My husband and I used to go to a restaurant called the "Mongolian Grill" in Portland (Oregon) and we loved it. I was thrilled when a similar type one opened near where I worked in San Jose. Unfortunately I don't work anymore and the restaurant is not in a convenient location. I desperately miss it.
Great review,
Peggy

I agree, George, these types of restaurants are great. I used to eat at Fire and Ice a lot in Providence, Rhode Island, and a few of the Chinese buffets were adding them before I moved. Great review.
Cheers!
