Worthless software for an incredible player.
Okay, I remember when these came out last year, sounded like a great product. I was going to buy one, and was reading here and on other review sites how bad the software was for this. I thought to myself these people are just ignorant and can't figure it out. I'm not a "computer geek" in the least, I can just work with things like this.
So a year or so goes by and I forget all about this player. I was in best buy a few weeks ago and saw it, also noticed that the price is down to only 100$, so I said wht the hell and picked one up.
Get the thing home and put the entire box set that I had bought when I bought the player into one mini disc, I was happy to say the least. Made a few more discs from mp3s, using the lp4 mode, and the quality was still pretty damn good. 5 hours of music on one disc and the size of this is such a beautiful thing. So I spend all week at work listening to this thing with one AA battery. Yeah the display sucks, but that didn't even bother me.
Now the bad part, I try to make more discs and it isn't happening, from mp3 OR cd. I did everything humanly possible to try and get this to work, no dice. I even re-installed the software and that didn't work. The player is useless without the software, so everything good about this is canceled out because of the primitive, buggy, poor excuse for software that is given to this.
This is such an incredibly done piece of technology. Everything is perfect with such a small fault like the software is just so asinine. Why? and why would they not revise it? With the outcry of how flawed it is they can't possibly not know.....
I would buy a newer version if they cleared this up.
