I used this recorder for my business day and night for 2 years and it just keeps going and going, Good picture and audio, firewire (a must have) but this one has in and out unlike firewire on say a song standalone dvd recorder

So plug the firewire into your computer and the dvd recorder now uses its hardware to decommpress video out to your computer where you can now capture at full 720 by 480 dv!
Now you have video you can edit rom a dvd with high quality!!!

I have 4 dvd recorders and my next one will be a pioneer again
