I received this phone as a Christmas gift from my sister. She was constantly complaining about the reception on my old cordless phone and decided I needed a new one.
I absolutely love this phone. It is by far the clearest cordless I have ever used. I can use it all over my house and yard with hardly any interference. Not only is the clarity of sound outstanding but it also has the following features:
This phone has a jog dial which can either be used to dial up a name on your directory of up to 50 preset numbers, or to flip through your caller ID list. The directory can also be accessed on the base window. (The windows on the handset and base are absolutely huge and easy to read)
The caller ID feature is also great. You can view the number of the caller on either the handset or the base. The handset stores the numbers and names of the last 20 callers. (Caller ID must be subscribed to from your local phone company.)
There is a dialpad on the base, so calls can be made and answered on the base speakerphone, which is great for those of us who constantly lose the phone, and or those of us who need to talk while using both hands elsewhere.
Speaking of losing the phone, it has an intercom system which can either be used to converse with someone in another part of the house, or to cause the handset to ring so you can locate it if it is lost. On this phone, the handset actually rings for long enough that you CAN find it.
As for charge, I can leave this phone off of the hook for 2 days straight before I need to charge it. When the battery does run down, it only takes about 30 minutes- 1hour to fully recharge it for another 2 days.
The only negative feature on this phone is that when the battery is going to go dead it doesn't give you very much warning. It beeps a couple of times and you literally have to sprint to the base to keep from getting disconnected.
The positive features of this phone clearly outweigh the bad. I love this phone and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a mid-priced cordless.
