Good mouse, bad power management

Pros: Good range, good looking design.

Cons: Burns through a set of 2-AA batteries in less than a month. Get rechargables.

I bought the mouse together with wireless keyboard in a package for $53 from an online supplier. No complaints about the performance, setup was easy, software works well. The mouse is a little heavy due to the two AA batteries needed.

The main problem is that the optical mouse never turns off, and there's no off switch. After about three months of daily use, I have had to change the batteries every 3-4 weeks. Microsoft, are you listening?
