I’m sorry if you did not get my opinion for how I felt about the ibook. First I don’t sell them, nor do I represent Mac. So any comments I make freely of a check for sales.

I think very highly of the iBook as far as function and travel ability. My wife and I travel a lot via the airlines, so we go through security, and have to remove all electronic devices for scanning. For this the iBook’s size is the best. Because, I like that the screen is still big enough to sit in front of for hours. I like that the five hour battery allows me to watch, two DVDs before a recharge is needed. I like that the power plug folds up and wraps up into a nice block and not a dangled mess. It even comes with an extension, if you need more length. I like the feel of the outer case, sort of rubberized.

Function, I have been using Mac OS since eighties. It is easy and friendly. Compatible? So far I have not had any problem opening or creating documents or spreadsheets on the iBook that either came from or were transferred to my Dell (which I am running XP). When the iBook is home it is networked to the Dell. I had considered purchasing Virtual PC for the Mac (I have installed Virtual PC on some older Macs). As of now, I have not come across any MS files that I have not been able to open, or create, on the iBook or Dell and then exchanged to the other.

Reliability, most Mac users know, if the Mac locks up or acts funny, restart it. As far as this iBook, I have only had to do that about 5% as many times I do that with my Dell.

My bottom line. Yes it is easy to use, battery life 5 hours, very compatible with Windows, more reliable than any Windows based computer I have ever come across.

Hope this helps.

I know my ratig doesn't tally with other peoples, but I just feel this review os more like a sales brochure than a consumer review. You've told me all about the features but not what you actually think of this computer, how well does it perform, ease of use, battery life, compatability with Windows, reliability etc.
