| scottar's Full Review: Apple iBook 12.1 in. (M8861LL/A) Mac Notebook |
I recently upgraded from a 500mhz iBook to a 800mhz combo drive 12.1-inch iBook and love it. Had my Airport wireless network set up in about three mouse clicks and was surfing the web -- and printing -- wirelessly in under 5 minutes. Then I downloaded the latest versions of iPhoto and iMovie (just sat back and watched them install themselves via Software Update) and had a motion "Ken Burns Effect" slideshow of my three kids playing in the snow about 30 minutes later. That's why I love OS X and Macs -- they enable you to do some really fun stuff in no time at all. One word of advice -- upgrade to at least 256MB of RAM (I maxed out to 640MB) but don't buy it from Apple -- they rip you off on memory.
