Cons: None that I can think of!
The Bottom Line: This unit is a must especially for kitchens that have space as a consideration. LG has done it again!

When our microwave oven died after 20 years, I decided to replace it with this unit to save space and get rid of our toaster oven at the same time.
LG has lived up to its reputation of innovative products with sleek styling. I especially like the brushed aluminum and the layout of the controls at the front of the unit. Everything is very easy to clean.
The microwave is very powerful. What used to take almost 4 minutes to pop popcorn in our old microwave, this one does in 2.5 minutes! It also has a nice feature that allows you to choose the size of the bag and calculates the time accordingly.
There are auto-defrost buttons which are a marvelous addition. I purchase ground beef in bulk at BJ's and then package it in 1 lb. packages for freezing. The first time I decided to thaw a package in the microwave, I was a little reluctant. Most times I see this feature either cook the meat or leave it frozen in the center. I pressed the auto-defrost for beef and dialed the weight of the package. It was defrosted to perfection! No frozen parts, and nothing was cooked. I had to defrost a solid-frozen chicken with the same results.
Another nice feature is a "quick set" button which starts the microwave for 1 minute for each time you press the button.
The unit also allows two-stage cooking and the steps are very straightfoward - dial the time and cooking power, then push the cooking time again, dial and add the cooking power and you're good to go.
The toaster side will toast up to two slices of bread. Rather than a timer setting, there is a number selection from 1-8 (8 being the darkest). There is also a separate setting for bagels because they are thicker. The only complaint that I have is that if a piece of bread is "bent" - you know when the bread bag has been crushed, the toaster can tend to burn the edges of the bread that are closer to the element.
When toasting, the exterior of the unit remains cool and there is a cooling fan that remains on for about a minute after the toast has been completed. A small crumb tray is easily removed for cleaning.
All in all, I think it's a great bang for the buck purchase. You are getting a mid-size microwave AND a toaster in the space of one appliance. The design is attractive and would fit in any style kitchen.
The interior is very roomy and easy to clean with smooth surfaces. The glass tray is easily removed for the dishwasher.
LG has added some really convenient features such as the auto defrost which is modified by entering the weight of the food. It is easy to clean and the controls are intuitive with very little necessity of reading the owner's manual. I highly recommend this unit.
