I think this epilator is great! Shaving for 10 years led me look for a more effective hair removal method, so I tried sugar wax first. It ok, but:
1. Its a mess!
2. You have re-heat the wax over and over
3. You cease shaving for a couple of weeks
4. The wax is inefficient in removing leg hair from upper leg
I received the epilator as a gift, and was skeptical at first since I heard it hurt. So I did a lot a research before using the product to ease any uncomfort I might have. I must admit that the first time I used it, I was in a lot of pain and was not able to finish, despite being used to sugar waxing. Yet I gathered all my patience and eventually finished. I was very pleased with the results! It removed ALL THE HAIR and cleaning up was easy. Some tips though:
1. Shower first! A must!
2. Use an epilating or waxing lotion afterwards to reduce redness.
3. Use it the day or night BEFORE you want to show off your legs.
4. Don't wait too long before doing touch ups.
5. Exfoliate to prevent ingrown hair.
After using the product for a couple of months, the pain factor decreased substantially as well as the time it took to finish. Also, the skin on my legs is so soft since I stopped shaving altogether. The unit also comes with a shaving head that I use for my underarms. It’s definitely worth the price!
