The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a good notebook PC but can't afford $2000 for a new Latitude, a good used Latitude is the next best thing.

I purchased this item on Ebay from a reliable seller, as I needed a laptop to replace the Gateway Solo 3100 I gave to a friend for college use. This purchase differed from the above specifications by including 512MB RAM, and onboard CDRW in place of CDROM. The laptop was shipped Dell laptop packaging, arrived in excellent condition, and came with Windows XP Professional preloaded, along with standard software to support the provided hardware (Roxio EZ CD-Creator Basic was supplied, along with CDs to reinstall the OS, applications, and drivers.)
It is a very solidly built notebook, with a crisp, easy to read TFT screen. The video is delivered by a good dedicated graphics chipset, the ATI Mobility Radeon, with 16MB of of dedicated RAM for graphics - suitable for moderate graphics work such as photo editing, or for playing most games, though not ones that require a 32MB or higher graphics card.
Performance in my initial use has been excellent; I installed several applications, with installation speed being visible comparable to Pentium 4 systems on which I've worked (thru 2.4 Ghz.) With the various applications and operating system installed, I've used less than 2GB out of the 20GB hard disk space, so I have ample room for additional applications and files, which will make this a good mobile workstation when I'm providing support at customer locations.
