Pros: Cheap, but reliable. Small and easy for travel or confined spaces.
Cons: Lots of plastic parts and the audio suffers a bit.
The Bottom Line: Rated down in several categories I still call it above average for the money. Compared to Sony it's average, but that is an unfair comparison.

The right TV for the right situation.
Why would I even consider buying this?
First and foremost, this TV was never meant to be a permanent addition to someones home stereo system. It almost gives the impression of being an appliance for the "out of pocket" viewer.
I am a military member currently serving on a one year remote tour in Korea. Now I really didnt need to spend four or five hundred dollars on a high end device due to the fact that I will have to transport it half way around the world in less than a year. Thats where the Daewoo came into play.
At 139.00 US dollars this television was perfect for me. Small to match my surroundings, cheap to match my resources for the next year, and durable enough to hopefully make the trip back stateside.
Now obviously we are all not in the military, but other people do share a similar situation. People living in mobile homes, or studio apartments can benefit from its small size. Someone who would like a TV for places such as in a game room or in a cabin or such where damage would become a possibility would enjoy its versatility and cost effectiveness.
At that price what can it do for me?
The remote is extremely basic with channel control, volume and the other staple functions, along with a few of the tint and color controls.
It does provide a feature I have never used until I came here, and that is once you put the current time into the TV it will shut off at a time you specify, and will likewise come on when u designate making it an alarm of sorts. I really like that cause sometimes I wont wake up to an alarm, but a TV turned up quite a way and the voice of Regis Philbin in the mornings will make anyone crawl out of bed. (And head for the hills)
Another wonderful feature, reflecting back on the idea that its great for small places, is the audio/video inputs placed on the front of the unit. People with game systems and other periphrial devices can take advantage of that addition.
If it's that cheap it can't be that great, where's the catch?
Of course there will be some drawbacks associated with a "low end" television. The one I noticed immediately would be the two small speakers located on the front of this unit. They are not what I would call bad, but they sure wouldn't impress any judges either. Functional? Yes
High Tech? NO
One year warranty. Need I say more, but then again what would you expect from a TV that costs half the price as most other 20" TV's.
The Bottom Line
Cheap-basic-portable
For someone displaced they are wonderful. An individual who would like a TV but knows it would take a beating, here you go. A fantastic temporary fix for someone who will be moving on to bigger and better things. And when I return to the states, a perfect beginning TV to place in our kids room.
So the next time you get stuck in a car in the middle of a snow storm, heres the savior you need. Cause in the middle of a nasty situation, I guarantee it will be your "diamond in the rough".
