This thing is my baby. I don't let anyone I know touch it. No family, no friends. Seriously. The big draw of this thing is style. If people see you with it, they automatically think you are of some higher echelon than they. Girls suddenly become nicer. People will want to be seen standing by you holding your iPod with the soothing blue back lighting. But then comes the time in every iPod owners life. Person X will say to you, "Hey, let me see it for a minute." No. Simple. Just flat out refuse to let them hold it in their hands. They may look at it, but no touching, not even the buttons. Yes, they will be amazed by the touch sensitive buttons all over the iPod, and yes, they will want to try it out for themselves. Do not let them. Tell them to buy their own. And do not have any shame in saying this, because if the tables were turned, your mitts would not be on their iPod. Most people I meet understand this. If they don't, screw them. If an iPod ever befalls them, they will finally understand where you are coming from. The iPod is designed for mobile use, but I mostly use it in the car or at home. But when you do take it out on the town, you better hope you have the grip of a common house fly, because if this thing gets dropped, forget it. It is a fragile as a Faberge egg, but with much more functionality. My girlfriend broke mine. She is lucky I am a compassionate soul, because otherwise she would living life sans a few fingers. It got fixed at the local Apple store, so her life was spared. To sum it all up, if you like music, get this if you can afford it. But be prepared to guard it like Fort Knox with the president inside it holding the bones of Mary Magdalene, because grubby hands will come at you from all directions, and the slightest mishandling could set you off on a chain reaction that most courts in this land will not hold you responsible for.
