| atalante's Full Review: Apex Digital AT2008S 20 inch TV |
Was looking for a TV in the $100 to $150 price range, and found this at Rex Electronics. I paid roughly $125 for it, which I see as acceptable for it's features.
It has 3 A/V in sets, one of which is on the left front side. It also has 1 A/V out set, 1 coaxial cable in, and one S-Video input which shares RCA audio hookups with one of the rear RCA A/V inputs. However, there is no composite in.
The screen is not flat, but it provides a good picture. The speakers are stereo, and are decent enough for news, or other programs that merely feature talking. They are merely average TV speakers, however, and are not particularly good at making movies and music sound real.
The buttons, other than the power button, seem cheaply made, which I dislike. Also, the remote has very poor button layout, and only works with the TV. However, it does provide an easy to access menu system, 3 picture settings, a closed caption button, a Recall button, and a Video input selector button on the remote, which I see as good inclusions.
This TV is available in either Silver or Black, depending on where you purchase it. Overall, it seems to be well worth what I spent.
