Knowing a little bit about English and Welish history made this movie all that more better for me. Miners from these areas had little to live for and when the mines started closing many of them started to relocate (as my boyfriends parents did) All they had was family, work and music. Many of them played in bands (as in this movie) or sang.

THis movie is a very good protyal of what went on during the late 70's and 80's right into the 90's. The movie is a little predictalbe but that is not what this movie is about. It whats to get a message across and does that quite well.
This movie really isn't for children; there is some swearing but mostly they wouldn't understand the message. And there is a graphic sence were one of the miners tries top hang himself.

I am not going to go into plot; you'll have to watch the mvie for that but this is agreat movie to put on your must see list.
