I've never actually seen this movie on video, it's always been on Comedy Central, but I think I'll go buy it after writing a review.
A little background about this movie is that 3 people that are in a heavy-metal rock band are having a little bad luck, they aren't getting anywhere with their music, the lead singer (Brendan Frasier) is having girl problems, Pip, the pool cleaner, (Adam Sandler), and Steve Buscemi, I forget his movie name, is just helping Pip I think. So they decide to get their demo tape to a radio station to get some attention about their band, well, the tradional ways didn't work, so they decide to take the back entrance in, and in the process, end up taking the radio station over, and the police, and 1,000's of music loving fans surround the building.
I like this movie because I used to want to be in a band, and do the things that Bredan Frasier, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler do.
Their acting talents really come out, and they all work well together. I think this movie's a real feel good movie, and you can tell the actors are having fun too, at least I think so. If those 3 lead actors aren't enough star appeal, you have guest appearences by Chris Farrely, as a police officer, Micheal Richards, as a record executive who gets trapped inside the radio station as the Lone Rangers take it over. White Zombie plays a song in here too, in a quite funny club scene.
Pretty much the whole movie is filled with funny skits and cameos, and it all adds up to a great rainy-day movie, or when you just want to laugh and feel good, this always does it for me.
