This is the movie that made Macauley Culkin famouse, and gave him a good name. Home Alone is a great movie. It is a great comedy. Below I'll tell you why.

Kevin McCallister (Macauly Culkin) is an 8-year-old with a whole lot of attitude. He feels smothered in his house with his 15 relatives (7 of which are his family), especially the night before they go on their holiday vacation to Paris.

Kevin's brother, Buzz (Devin Ratray) orders pizza. When Kevin gets to the kitchen, the 5 boxes of pizza are gone, and Buzz ate the last slice of cheese pizza. Kevin charges at him, he spills all the drinks, and he makes a total mess. Of course Kevin is punished, and has to go to sleep in the attic.

After Kevin got sent to the attic, he wished that his entire family just disappeared. The next morning, to Kevin's surprise, his wish came true. His family left on their flight to France, and left him behind (but Kevin doesn't know that). It was only when they were halfway to Paris, that Kevin's mom, Katie McCallister (Catherine O'Hara) realized that she left Kevin behind.

When Kevin wakes up, he discovers that the house is vacant. Soon, Kevin realizes that his dream came true (but he still didn't know that his family left for Paris). After a moment of shock, he decides that the house is his, and now he can do whatever he wants with it.

First, he orders a cheese pizza, and he uses a taped gangster dialogue (so that it will be scary) to make the delivery boy leave the pizza on the doorstep. Kevin paid him without going outside (while paying, he pushed the "stop" button). Kevin returned to the TV, and pressed the "play" button, and scared off the delivery boy.

Next, Kevin wonders around rooms and sees a picture of Buzz's ugly girlfriend and breaks it. He breaks Buzz's container where he keeps his Tarantula. And finally, Kevin decides to go shopping, so he takes some of Buzz's money.

When Kevin goes to the store, he sees his next-door neighbor, whom he never met before. However, Buzz told Kevin scary stories about the old man that murdered his family in the sixties, and is now murdering little children. Kevin stands there in shock. Then, he starts freaking out, and runs home without paying for the toothbrush.

When Kevin gets to his house, nearby, he overhears two criminals talking about robbing his house. That night, Kevin sets up a bunch of dummies, some Christmas music, and strings that when he pulls, the dummies move. For that night, the thieves stay away from Kevin's house, but it doesn't take them long to realize that Kevin is alone. Now, Kevin needs to prepare for those criminals who are coming tomorrow night, this time knowing that there's nobody home.

While Kevin is preparing his plans against the criminals, Katie McCallister is trying to get home. Unfortunately, all her tries appeared to be negative. The rest of the family are very bored, and are watching French television of which they don't understand a word.

Back to Kevin; now, it is Christmas Eve, and Kevin has to prepare for the robbers. And Kevin is more prepared for this than anything. Kevin prepares so many traps, that after all these traps, it doesn't seem like the two robbers will live.

There are too many traps to list, I won't even give any examples, because I'm hoping that now, you're curious and want to watch the funniest part: the traps.

Home Alone is a great, funny, and heart-warming that at the end, it teaches you a lesson: family is important. OH MY GOSH! This movie is definetly one of my favorites. I'm sure that there are millions of people elsewhere that feel the same way. What a great movie?!

I recommend the movie to anybody. Absolutely anybody. This movie is good for children and adults of any age.
