I had never heard any good reviews about this film before, so I had no interest in seeing it. But I *love* films with the kind of creepy, disturbing imagery you describe, so I now intend to check it out. Thanks for your thorough review.

Your review makes me want to see this film again. I saw it a looong time ago and all I remember is that the ending was weird, or different, or unexpected...I can't remember now!
Oh yeah, and it had that hot hunk of a man, Tim Robbins in it.

Thank you for writing a review on a film I also think is greatly underappreciated. I didn't mind the extra exposition so much as how I felt it was rather thrown in. Lyne probably thought some explanation was needed after keeping your adrenaline mysteriously pumped for so long? Either way, great film and wonderful review!

I don't think, I would be able to describe this movie. It is a very intense flick and took me twice or three times to fully understand, what it is really about.

to have discovered your reviews! This is a movie I'm going to have to watch again. I recall having felt vaguely disturbed by the whole thing but think I missed a lot.
Plus, since this movie came out, I've come to like Tim Robbins and will be interested to see him in an earlier role.
