I like this movie too. But, then again, I like any movie that Dustin Hoffman is in. I enjoyed your positive review of Tootsie.

George,
I love this movie-seen it at least 5 times. In fact, as recently as yesterday! I agree with your opinion of Teri Garr. She is luscious....

outstanding as always. One of my favorite films and for once I was able to stomach Murray in a part.
Probably one of the best movies in quite a while and a great review to boot.
Thanks

Question? (Reply to this comment)
by Don_Krider
George, while I'm attempting to answer your question in your commentary on my review about the closing of Woolworth's regarding "what happened to all the fish?" (I've filed forms under the Freedom of Information Act, of course!!!), I must ask you a question: if Hoffman's fake breasts cost $350 in 1982 dollars, how does that convert into 2001 dollars???
Great job, as always, amigo!
Don :)

Dude, I Totally Agree w/ You on Hoffman... (Reply to this comment)

He should've won the Oscar for Best Actor or Best Actress (he was a woman in the movie). Oh and that wasn't Jessica Lange who stood bent on her undies. That was Geena Davis.

by Stephen_Murray, in Movies
was also nominated best actress for "Frances," so the supporting statuette was a consolation prize.
"Penetrating glance" indeed!
