Thanks for the comment. But in all honesty, this is NOT grunge by any stretch of the imagination. STP would be the only band of that "kind," but they were always "hard rock" more than anything. The rest of them are alternative and industrial types.
I guess maybe my adoration for the album is at least in part a result of my own era. I graduated HS in 1995. So. Yeah. Uh. The Crow was the best thing since sliced bread.
Shelly.
*thanks again

This review was good, but this is one of my least favorite soundtracks. 90's grunge? Yuck already!

I bought it before I even watched the Crow, which was last year.
Youre right, the movie wouldnt be complete without the music and vise versa.
Excellent review~

Ahhhh The Crow (Reply to this comment)

This has been one of my favorite soundtracks for a long time. The music still has a real punch, even when judged by todays standards - and in most cases it's better that some of the stuff that is floating around on radio stations and the dreaded MTV stations. If you get the chance, check out the theatric score of the film, it's darker but has all the flavor of The Crow and then some.
Thanks for reminding me about this CD, it;s been a while since I played it .. and how fitting with Halloween right around the corner.
