manky's Full Review: If I Left the Zoo by Jars Of Clay
These guys never cease to amaze and entertain me. They've put out 3 1/2 albums now, all new and different in their own way. Always evolving their abilities, and styles, yet staying true to their purpose and quality.
This new album is no exception what-so-ever. It starts out with a very Beatle-esque "Goodbye, Goodnight", moves into a harsh intense "Unforgetful You" (also included in the Drive Me Crazy soundtrack). "No One Loves Me Like You" is an extremely true and touching song, made perfectly for absolute worship!
The lyrics, as with all Jars albums, are deep and meaningful. Day after day of listening to them, you can capture new and applicable morsels for your life. Jars of Clay don't hold back their love of God, nor do they deny their short-comings.
With true themes, and gentle yet catchy tunes, this will be another album to hold onto for a long time!
