| cdopeyc's Full Review: The Slim Shady LP [PA] by Eminem |
Slim shady LP is the first release from one of the greatest rappers of this time. Eminem signed on with Dr. Dre's Aftermath records after Dre heard him freestyling on a Detroit radio station. This was definitely a good move by the Father of Rap. This album has a lot of hardcore songs but has a few dance songs mixed in and gave true rap fans reason to question his claims to be what he says he is. This only sets the stage for his next release, soming Spring 2000, nearley a year after The Slim Shady LP, which promises to only be more hardcore rap, which will keep that audience interested. He has also performed on 2 tracks for Dr. Dre's Chronic 2001 CD, which are great. Eminem is one of the most promising new rappers and under Dre's persuasion he is sure to rise to the top!
