Swervedriver creates a shoegazing masterpiece

Pros: Lush, dense arrays of guitars, frequent use of loud/quiet/loud music
Cons: None, really, maybe one weaker track

What about Curve? (Reply to this comment)
by davegingerich
I know, they're gone now, but, Curve for me is one of the premier neo-shoegazer bands. One of my all time favorite groups.

We seem to share a lot of musical interests. shoegazer bands are still a strong favorite of mine although now that most of them are gone, and the (sub-)genre too, I've moved on to some trance, trip-hop, electronica, dark ambient, etc.

I agree with your review of Mezcal. What do you think of early Catherine Wheel? Another shoe gazer you might like, you probably have it, is "Nowhere" from Ride.

Hmmm, perhaps a shoegazer band writeoff is in order?

Naahhh, ... nobody else probably cares.

good review
