gomatsu's Full Review: Led Zeppelin II [Remaster] by Led Zeppelin
The first Led Zeppelin album I ever heard, this second release from one of the most well-known bands of all time hooked me on classic rock. The album was conceived and recorded at intervals while the band was touring in 1969, as the lively beats and heavy sounds reveal. This is possibly the greatest traveling music of all time, and I associate it with the crazy hedonism of summer. Compared to their other numerous albums, this is probably the coursest, rawest of them all (musically speaking). It is quite envigorating and really gets the adrenaline pumping.
For those unfamiliar with Led Zeppelin or the album, this particular album should be considered hard rock, while other of their albums reflect greater versatility. For example, Led Zeppelin I, III and IV employ a great deal of softer acoustic sounds integrated uniquely with rock.
