Wow, I hate to join the ranks of women who worship Oprah, but I simply must tell the truth. This magazine is just another great accomplishment of Oprah Winfrey's. Yes, along with her show, her book club, her award winning TV movies (maybe not her films, yet!), she now has a magazine that is filled with the kind of help her show provides. Putting these life-affirming tips in this accessible format allows people who haven't or won't give her show a try, to see what she's really all about. And she is about empowering people to have a better life. A life filled with self-respect, and accomplishment, and confidence, and joy.
Besides the helpful monthly articles on money management, emotional health, and physical health, there are always incredibly interesting interviews with celebs who have been through rocky times but have come out on top (ie, Martha Stewart, Jane Fonda--Oprah asks questions that YOU would want to ask), and motivational stories that make you want to take that step you've been avoiding to change your life.
I know, I know, I sound like some kind of advertising soundbite, but I can't help it. People should hurry up and get a subscription while the introductory price is still so low ($10 for a year) because it will grow in popularity very quickly, just as her show and book club have.
