Like her TV show, the magazine tries to make us feel needy of the word from Oprah. It's almost cult-like in its approach.
The articles are written for women to make them feel that they are in constant need of improvement, counsel or direction from the Oprah empire.
You can pick up a copy of this magazine from 2000 or 2006 and it's all the same. Lose weight like this. Empower yourself by doing this. Be the best you that you can be. How I was abused.
Has Oprah's face ever not been on the cover?
I would not put another dime in her pocket but I have picked it up in waiting rooms and in check out lines and cannot believe people waste their money on this fluff.
If you have issues you need to address - buy a self-help BOOK from a respected authority figure.
The "O" magazine is clearly designed for one purpose - an outlet for lots of advertising to a target audience. About 2/3 of the pages are ads.
