Good diving mag, especially when it is free

I've been receiving Rodale's Scuba Diving magazine for 2 years, going on my third year. I managed to receive my subscriptions for free through an online point site. Even if it was BAD, which it is not, it is still free so I can't complain. Overall it is an informative magazine, especially for new divers. Some of this information is quite repetitive or already known to experienced divers. There is lots of information on equipment; just about every issue has a review on equipment. It also reviews dive sites.

When looking through the magazine it is evident that advertisements pay a big portion of the publishers budget. It's not as bad as women's magazines like Cosmo, but is close. I like to read articles, not ads.

Overall, Rodale's Scuba Diving is a good magazine and I do look forward to receiving each issue.
