| Trace_Malin's Full Review: Rodale's Scuba Diving Magazine |
Rodale's SCUBA Diving is one of the most unique magazines in the diving industry based upon its format. RSD covers just about every topic under the sun... err... would that be the water? The format is user friendly. It provides quick information at a glance so you can learn a lot while just flipping pages and then read the articles for in-depth coverage. It's one of the few magazines that contains information on local diving and not just dream resorts. RSD analyzes diving accidents to give its readers advice for better dive planning and finds interesting articles news stories and features. Recently, because of the heat the magazine has taken from many divers regarding bias toward advertisers in product and resort reviews, it has offered $10,000 to anyone who can prove such bias. While one should be skeptical of any magazine article about a product or service, at least when it comes to the dive magazine industry, RSD will give its readers the most information and product comparisons. Most divers will be happy with this magazine.
