| rosemarble's Full Review: Modern Bride Magazine |
I recently got engaged and for several months purchased all of the bridal magazines. For the most part the articles in these magazines gave ideas for those who could afford a $25,000 or higher wedding, even in the saving money sections. In my opinion, Modern Bride was the worst. The fashions focused on, as well as many ideas are not achievable by most "modern" brides! I cannot afford to have invitations custom made at $10 a piece. The articles would be more effective if all price ranges were addressed. Although, many of the articles are good and informative this lack of attention to those living a normal, "modern" life is disconcerting. I now browse the internet for sites such as USABride (www.usabride.com) for more useful information. If I were to buy a magazine, I prefer to read Bride's from Conde Nast. Their articles and advice are more down to earth. The monetary differences are present, though in my opinion, not as great.
