| cldoss's Full Review: Mary Beth's Bean Bag World Magazine |
Mary Beth's Bean Bag World Magazine has it all when it comes to Beanies and all kinds of Plush collectables. This is a monthly magazine that also has Special Editions at times.
Mary Beth does an excellent job of keeping the collector updated on everything from Ty Beanie babies/buddies to World Wide Wrestling Bears (I know, who knew there was even such a thing?!*)
This magazine provides the collector with tons of information from what's hot, to what's not. Mary Beth is on top of What's New and almost always has sneak previews of what's up and coming.
There is a buying guide for Ty Beanie Babies, Buddies, Cards, and more. The buying guide includes full color pictures and the current going rate on Internet Auction, Secondary Market, and at Shows. It also provides the information based on generation/hang tags. They even include all the information on each beanie like the style number, DOB, status, tush tag generation, etc...It is the complete guide in every way.
The magazine also includes a very detailed section regarding counterfeits and how to spot one - what the tags should look like... There are readers who ask questions and there are examples of look alikes given.
There are top 10 favorite most wanted lists of different types of plush collectibles. There are lots of articles on new products and even a section on pets. There are also articles on charities and other topics. There is a list of collector's upcoming shows, Ask Mary Beth, Beans in the news, Reader Mail, Reader Scrapbook (usually includes pictures of collectors with their collections of beanies.), Global Collecting, etc...
This magazine has excellent color and the pictures of the collectibles are very good. There are quite a few advertisements on where you can purchase beanies/plush collectibles. Mary Beth also has a website: www.beanbagworld.net
To purchase Mary Beth's Bean Bag World off the stand it will set you back $5.99. It is a fairly large magazine as it comes out once a month. (this month's issue has 241 pages)
So if you enjoy collecting Beanies you may want to browse through Mary Beth's Bean Bag World - I don't think you will be disappointed.
