scamara's Full Review: Maxim Magazine Subscription
When I first saw this magazine, I thought,"Oh great, another male mag exploiting women...". Little did I know. Out of curiosity, I picked it up, started to thumb through the pages and was pleasantly surprised. This magazine has tons of cool articles and features. Of course, there are a few spreads of scantily clad females, but they are tastefully done and usually include interesting interviews with the models. The rest is filled with unique features, such as, The 25 worst sports injuries of all time, or, microscopic bugs and mites that live all around us.
I suppose that not all women would appreciate Maxim. It has great appeal, though, to those of us who aren't particularly squeamish and can't get enough of strange and unusual facts. This mag is chock full of them. It also lets women read and learn about things men enjoy, just like when my husband reads my Cosmo to see what women talk about.
I know this is a mag that guys enjoy, and I highly recommend that all you gals out there take a peek. I believe you'll like it, at least a little bit. Also, for similar reading, you should definitely check out Maxim's Stuff (if you can find it). It's equally enjoyable reading.
